We cannot believe summer camp is already over.

This one is going to stay with us. The laughs that did not stop, the confidence that grew a little more every week, the friendships that formed over shared meals and shared adventures. Watching these kids show up for each other all summer was the best part of our job.

To all of our partners this summer, thank you. For opening your doors, sharing your time, and investing in our campers in ways that mattered. We are so grateful.

Just like that, TMC Summer Camp came to a close.

Our last day was a full one. The children put on a talent show, shared presentations they worked hard on, and celebrated the summer with a cookout. And in true TMC fashion, we still made room for the social and emotional learning that grounds everything we do.

What a summer it's been. Grateful for every camper who made it one to remember.

Field trips with a purpose.

Own Our Own teamed up with our TMC summer camp kids for a youth academy, touring real Homewood businesses including Laundry Mat Express in Turtle Creek and Bold and Braided in Forest Hills. Getting young people in front of working business owners is exactly the kind of exposure that plants a seed.

You never know which one of these kids becomes our next entrepreneur.

Trailblazers, literally. 🌳

Our summer campers spent the day exploring the trails at Frick Park, getting into nature and learning the kind of things you cannot pick up inside four walls. They worked as a team, took in the scenery, and leaned all the way into the adventure.

Learning does not stop when the classroom does, and days like this prove it.

Up, up, and away! Our Maker's Clubhouse campers hopped aboard the Duquesne Incline for a ride they will not forget.

From the top, they took in the Pittsburgh skyline and got a real look at the history and engineering that make this city so special. Learning hits different when you are seeing it with your own eyes.

Science is better when you can put your hands on it. 🔬

Our campers spent the day at the Kamin Science Center digging into hands-on STEM learning. Curiosity runs high with this group, and there is no better place to let it loose than a room full of things you are allowed to touch.

Summers like this one are part of how The Oasis Project keeps showing up for the young people of Homewood.

Climbing walls, ropes courses, and a whole lot of nerve. 🧗🏾

Our campers took on the challenges at in Homestead and came back with more than sore arms. They built confidence, they leaned on each other, and they found out what they are capable of when something looks harder than they expected.

Teamwork and resilience are not things you can teach from a desk. You have to go out there and live them.

Getting young people out of their comfort zone is a big part of why Bible Center Church built TMC in the first place.
