We have another special guest coming to our Art for Animals opening reception! Local Girl Scouts from Troop 36774 worked with Rabbit Wranglers on their Silver Award project: Bunny Beans! The scouts will be at our opening reception to share information about their project to bring rabbits to the West View Urban Farm. This Saturday, come learn about Bunny Beans, meet the Wrangled Rabbits, have some snacks, view nearly 100 amazing animal-themed art pieces, and help raise money for Rabbit Wranglers!

Meet the Art for Animals judge!

Matt Simon is currently an Art & Photography teacher at the North Hills High School where he has taught for the past 19 years. Matt holds a B.F.A. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a major in Graphic Design and a Minor in Drawing, as well as a PA Teaching Certification in Art from Carlow University. Prior to teaching, Matt worked as a graphic designer in Pittsburgh, but decided to change careers after almost 9 years in the corporate world to pursue his passion for teaching art. He currently resides in the North Hills with his wife and two daughters, where he enjoys taking walks with his dog and spending time with family and friends.

It's time to bring in your artwork for our annual animal show! Pieces may be dropped off today through Friday (10 am - 3 pm), tonight (7 - 9 pm), and Saturday (10 am - 1 pm).

𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐒𝐧𝐠 π†πšπ«ππžπ§ 𝐏π₯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐒𝐧𝐠: Join other volunteer gardeners on Wednesday, May 27th from 4:30 - 7:00 pm to plant flowers around the art center!

We're also asking for 𝐩π₯𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐬. We're looking for:

- Colorful annuals: zinnia, snapdragons, marigolds, etc
- Coneflowers
- Sage
- Lavender
- Flax (seed or plants)
- Calibrachoa
- Creeping phlox
- Peonies
- Clematis or other deer resistant climbing plants

Plants can be placed on the outdoor table directly behind our building at any time! Thank you for supporting our Healing and Sensory Garden 🌷🌱🌻
