Dr. Cornelia Ulrich of Huntsman Cancer Institute has been appointed the inaugural Mary C. Beckerle Presidential Endowed Chair in Cancer Research and Leadership. Clinical trials can offer hope, but getting into a trial isn’t always easy. A new KFF Health News article explores the barriers patients face, from finding the right trial to travel, cost, and childcare. The article also highlights the Equitable Access to Clinical Trials (EACT) project, co-coordinated by AACI and the Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center of Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard (MRCT Center), and efforts to make clinical research more accessible to patients.
