We are proud to announce our 2026 Cycle 1 grant partners! This year the foundation has increased our payout from 6.0% to 6.5% of total assets.

“We are facing a pivotal year for nonprofit organizations across the Pittsburgh area and nationwide,” said Jake Goodman, Opportunity Fund’s Executive Director. “Our grant partners are navigating intensifying economic and political instability. This increase in funding distribution reflects both the urgency of this moment and our confidence in the critical work our grant partners are leading to make lasting impact in the arts and social and economic justice.”

Opportunity Fund announces Ian-Julian Williams as Program Officer/Arts.

Ian comes to Opportunity Fund from the National Endowment for the Arts, where he served as a Theater and Musical Theater Specialist since 2019. Prior to joining the NEA, Williams managed grants for the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and served as Program Coordinator at Center Theatre Group.

"Ian's hire is a tremendous boon for Pittsburgh's artists and arts organizations. Arts are a core part of Opportunity Fund's mission and, while they have always been a priority, we have never before had a team member whose focus is entirely dedicated to the arts. Ian is a fundamentally curious person whose practice is to seek out the wisdom of artists and arts leaders.
