50 Years of BAP History - During Chuck's 24 years (1998 through 2021) as the chair of our Breeders Award Program, over 3,600 spawns were turned in by club members. That's a lot of baby fish to verify!

Great day for our annual Members picnic at Mingo Creek County Park!

From Regina Spotti - "Today was really fun! Everyone seemed to enjoy the perfect weather and wonderful site. We caught some neat fish, ate some delicious foods, including Joe's excellent desserts!"

Thanks for everyone who contributed to make it another great event, especially Linda Best Redeker for organizing, Scott Graner for managing RSVPs, supplies, and facilitating the collecting, Joe Doyle for another killer raffle table AND deserts, and Eric Bodrock for helping secure the site.

Surprise again! NAR Reveal #15 – How about a Blue Panda Betta! Our friends at Rich’s Fishes, LLC are bringing these blue and white patterned Betta splendens to the auction table.

They may look like pandas, but thankfully you won’t need a bamboo grove to keep them fed. You will need to be the highest bidder though if you want to take a pair home with you tomorrow.

📅 Sunday, September 20
⏰ Registration at 9:30 AM - Auction starts at 11:00 AM
📍 Monroeville Convention Center

Open to the public - Free to attend!

Surprise! NAR Reveal #14 – A familiar Lake Tanganyika catfish with a very uncommon look, albino Synodontis petricola! From our very generous friends at Aquatic Voyeurs, these fish have traded the familiar dark-spotted pattern for a pale albino form that you don’t come across nearly as often.

One of the smaller and more peaceful members of Synodontis growing to around 4 to 5 inches, they are social and do best in groups.

Want something a little different cruising through your rockwork? Keep your bidder card handy when these come up for auction tomorrow!

NAR Reveal #13 – And what’s a GPASI auction without an awesome pleco?! Our final reveal, Hypancistrus sp. L454 (Atabapo Zebra Pleco)! From Eric Bodrock and All Oddball Aquatics, these are tank-raised, unsexed 2.25-inch fish.

Not just another striped pleco, L454 originates from the Río Atabapo region of Colombia and Venezuela and has had very limited availability in the hobby. If a rare Hypancistrus has been on your wish list, keep that bidder card ready because you may not see L454 come across an auction table very often.
