The Southwest PA AHEC is a regional nonprofit organization with a mission to recruit and retain primary care health professionals in underserved areas.

The Southwest Pennsylvania Area Health Education Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving access to high quality healthcare for people in urban and rural medically underserved areas. We serve seven counties in Southwest PA: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Greene, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland. Southwest PA AHEC works with all health professions schools and programs. Each Area

Health Education Center in Pennsylvania has a sponsoring medical school that has made a special commitment to the support of the Pennsylvania Area Health Education Centers. Our sponsoring medical school is University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
