Sarah Broadus believed hope and humanity belonged at the center of cancer care. After first coming to One Day to Remember as a recipient family in 2023, Sarah quickly became part of the heart of our organization. As an Outings Coordinator, she created meaningful moments for families facing advanced-stage cancer while navigating her own stage IV diagnosis with incredible courage, compassion, and humor.
Sarah dedicated her life to lifting others up. She advocated fiercely for the colorectal cancer community, supported fellow patients, and reminded families they were never alone.
In honor of her legacy, we created the ๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐ to recognize individuals whose work brings hope, innovation, advocacy, and compassion to families facing cancer.
This is your chance to nominate someone you feel is making that kind of difference in the lives of cancer patients. Nominees may include:
โข Medical oncologists and oncology specialists
โข Cancer researchers and clinical investigators
โข Patient advocates and nonprofit leaders serving families facing cancer
This award honors those who:
โจ Bring hope to patients and families
โจ Advance discovery and innovation
โจ Strengthen families facing cancer
โจ Lead with compassion and advocacy
Just as elephants protect and uplift their herd, Sarah did the same for everyone around her. This award continues that legacy.
๐๏ธ Nominations close June 30.
