I first met Kylie 4 years ago. Of course, she made an immediate impact on me.

She was dressed as Snow White. Then, she was dressed as Elsa. Then, she was dressed as K-Pop Demon Hunter Kylie.

When we photographed her last month, her costume was Strength. Gold. Glitter. Childhood Cancer Warrior.

That may have been my favorite costume, because she WAS the costume.

Her spirit was there during every one of her photo sessions. The smile, the sass, the serious faces, the silly faces—whatever we needed for the photo. Always willing to do what was called for. She was a great model!

Kylie has done more So Many Angels photo sessions than anyone else, and each time I saw her name come up on the sign-up form I smiled, then immediately scanned to see what her costume was going to be, because I always knew she would rock the look.

I have to admit though, I wasn’t quite sure what a K-Pop Demon Hunter was at first! (I might still not know, actually).

I’m so glad the other Kylee and I (the one that spells her name wrong) were able to deliver her most recent canvases to her a couple of days ago. We got to see that look of wonder she gave each time she saw her canvas for the first time.

I’m choosing to remember her like that.

The eyes of wonder. The smiles, through everything she was going through.

Kylie, we are going to miss you so much,

Every smile, every laugh, every costume change, every high five… it all comes together to create something much bigger than a photo.

These incredible children and their families remind us why we do this.

It's that time! I am hosting a So Many Angels event on August 8 as part of larger event with Zach's Toy Chest called a A Summer's Night with Santa

If you don't know what we do, we're looking for any kids under 18 years who are battling or survived cancer so we can create a fantasy portrait for them. We've had some donations and can always use more, but right now we're looking for kids to be photographed. Please share this with any family you know who has been through this and would benefit from seeing their kid be a kid again. Please come with your own costumes, and if you need one, check out our So Many Angels registration form for a group who can help you get one. After the event, our artists will work on creating personalized portraits for each of the kids who sign up. We will be in touch on when the reveal session will be to receive your canvases!

Zach's Toy Chest will provide a kid-friend dinner and dessert, a Santa for photo-ops, games and more. So Many Angels will have a room there for our part of the event. We both need your registrations filled out in advance so we can plan and accommodate all! And they're FREE.

Registration is now open for So Many Angels’ July 13 photo experience at Fun Fore All in Cranberry Township.

Children with cancer and other life-altering medical diagnoses receive a professional photo experience, custom movie-poster-style artwork, a 16x24 canvas print, and a So Many Angels blanket—at no cost to the family.

We also encourage past So Many Angels families to participate again. Each experience celebrates a new chapter in a child’s journey, and we are honored to continue telling those stories.

Please share with any family, hospital, nonprofit, or community organization that may know a child who could benefit from this experience.
