September Recap! 📸✨
Our team had an incredible month giving back across a few awesome initiatives:
PMI: We spent time teaching 6th graders all about the cardiovascular system! 🫀
Greater Lansing Food Bank: Spent time sorting and packing food items to support families across our community.
HPREP: Kicked off the new school year with a fun, Family Feud-style anatomy game with the kids!
Super excited for what’s ahead this school year! Stay tuned for more events! 🌟

Whether you’re running for a personal best or walking with friends, every step helps make a difference.

This race is raising funds to support:
 The White Dress Project – advancing uterine fibroid awareness, education, and advocacy.
 Care Free Medical – providing free, high-quality healthcare to uninsured and underserved members of our local community.
 Spartan Street Medicine – supporting initiatives that deliver compassionate healthcare and essential resources to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Register by September 10 to receive an official race T-shirt! Registration prices increase after August 31, so sign up early!

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to support meaningful causes, we’d love to see you there. Together, we can take strides toward health equity—one mile at a time.

Our SNMA team had a busy summer volunteering with the Greater Lansing Food Bank and hosting health education workshops. May’s HPREP session in Detroit was a fun one, where we collabed with OSMP to teach the kids different types of fractures, the field of orthopedics, and showed them how to make casts! June’s HPREP session was in partnership with PIGS. We had the honor of doing activities at Crockett Midtown High School’s Summer Bridge Program, where high school kids learn about medicine and science for a week. We introduced the HEENT exam and played games about clinical interviewing!
We love seeing these moments of connection and curiosity in our community! 🥼

Orientation recap! 🩺✨ As second-years, we remember exactly how it feels to start this journey, and we were so happy to help host the Orientation Afters event for the incoming class! From the ice cream bar and charm keychain making to the raffle prizes and music, it was such a blast getting to meet you all. Thank you to LMSA, LGBT&A, AMMSA, JOSA, APAMSA, NAAMA who collabed with SNMA to make this event possible! We are so excited to have you in the MSUCOM family. Welcome, Class of 2030! 💚🤍
