WOW! What a weekend!! ❤️

We’re exhausted, our feet hurt, our voices are about gone, and it’s probably going to take ALL of us a solid week to recover… but you know what? WE WOULDN’T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY! 😂❤️

Another A Bucking Nightmare is in the books, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who helped make this weekend such an incredible success!

What makes A Bucking Nightmare so special isn’t just the competition. It’s the friendships, the laughter, the costumes, the memories, and the incredible people who come together year after year. It’s seeing old friends, making new ones, and knowing that behind all the fun, we’re also making a difference.

We work ALL year preparing for this one weekend. And every year, when we’re completely worn out and wondering how we’re still standing, we look around at everyone having the time of their lives and remember exactly why we do it. ❤️

I’ve been working behind the scenes for months on something a little different through Roam Photos, the 2027–2028 Nostalgic Western Pin-Up Calendar and I’m so excited that it’s finally available for presale!

This project brought together an amazing group of women for a fun, vintage-inspired take on Western pin-up photography, but what makes it even more special to me is that it also gives back.

Proceeds from calendar sales will benefit Dreaming of Three and Breakaway from Cancer, helping support two organizations that mean so much to me. ❤️

Calendars are available for local pickup in Hookstown, pickup at A Bucking Nightmare, or they can be shipped.

❤️ A Special Night for Our Rodeo Kid, Nolan! 🤠
Nolan’s Army

Last night, we had the privilege of welcoming Nolan and his family as our Dreaming of Three Rodeo Kid at the Hookstown Fair Rodeo!

The evening started with dinner together before heading out to explore the fair. Nolan got to visit some of the animals and even give a few of them some love! 🐑🐷 Then his entire family joined us for the rodeo, where Nolan got to put on his cowboy hat, take in all the action, and simply enjoy being a kid surrounded by the people who love him.

And that is exactly what our Rodeo Kid Program is all about. ❤️

For one evening, we want these families to be able to put aside doctor appointments, procedures, hospital stays and everything else they carry every day. We want them to come out, have dinner together, laugh, explore, watch a rodeo and make some really good memories as a family with as little worry as possible.

None of these nights happen without some pretty incredible people behind the scenes.

A huge THANK YOU to the Hookstown Fair Board, and especially Pam Kendrew, for all of her help making arrangements for Nolan and providing fair admission for the family. Thank you to our rodeo producers Dave & Kristine Treharne and Stefanie Morris for helping us make Nolan’s night at the rodeo so special, and to Kim Strum for everything she did to help us throughout the evening. Also thank you to Georgia Parsons for getting his bag personalized.

It truly takes a community to create a night like this, and Nolan’s family had an AMAZING time. Seeing him checking out the animals, sporting that cowboy hat and cowboy boots, riding around the fairgrounds and taking in the rodeo with his family is exactly why we do what we do.

Thank you to everyone who helped us give this sweet boy and his family a night that was simply about family, fun and making memories. ❤️🤠

❤️ Meet Our Next Rodeo Kid – Nolan! ❤️

We are so excited to introduce Nolan, who will be joining us at the Hookstown Fairgrounds Rodeo on August 26!

Nolan is an incredible little fighter with the biggest smile, a contagious laugh, and a heart that has already overcome more than most of us can imagine.

From Nolan's mom:

“Nolan was born at 37 weeks, 3 days via C-section. He was life-flighted to West Penn Hospital, where he stayed 1 1/2 weeks in the NICU, and a couple days in the step-down unit. He was then transferred to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh where he stayed another two weeks. During this time, he was put on a ventilator twice. Once at UPMC Children’s, his doctors found a heart murmur. This lead to his diagnosis of supravalvular aortic stenosis, pulmonary artery stenosis, and Williams Syndrome. He had his first open heart surgery in February of 2022, and his second one in May of 2024 where he got an aortic mechanical valve due to aortic valve regurgitation. The lower left ventricle of his heart is thick. He follows cardiology every 4-6 months to monitor his heart.”

When you look at Nolan, you can't help but smile right along with him. That joy is exactly why Dreaming of Three exists, to give kids like Nolan and their families a night where hospital visits, surgeries, and appointments take a back seat to making memories together.

Levi and his family had a great time at the Hoppel's Rodeo over the 4th of July weekend! It was awesome to see their smiles! They were so appreciative of everything everybody did for them to make their night special!
