*A Grocery Store Encounter* - A simple question at the grocery store turned into a moment I won't soon forget.

Sometimes we pray for our circumstances to change. But sometimes, the greatest blessing is finding the strength to carry on while we're waiting.

We're back! Our second Kitchen of Kindness session is in just 1 week on Sunday, October 18!

Our first session was such a beautiful morning. With such a nice and positive atmosphere, full of camaraderie and friendship. If you didn't know someone at the start, you were definitely hitting it off by the end!

Come on Sunday from 11am - 12:30pm to cook, pack, and deliver nourishing meals for seniors and neighbors who could use a hug. Bring a friend, roll up your sleeves, and spend your Sunday morning doing something that truly matters.

This Shabbos is called Shabbat Bereish*t. On Simchat Torah, we begin the Torah again and this Shabbat we read the complete first portion, Parshat Bereish*t.

Chassidic teaching says the way we conduct ourselves on Shabbos Bereish*t sets the tone for the entire year. So let’s each choose one thing to make special about our Shabbos observance and let that one choice shape the year ahead.

Shabbat Shalom!

*Why Are Israelis So Happy?* - Three years after October 7th, the statistics are remarkable. Maybe happiness has less to do with having certainty about what happens next — and more to do with having certainty about who you are.

Despite everything, Am Yisrael Chai.

*Back to normal?* Hopefully not.

The holidays are over, the phone is back on, and regular life has resumed.

But the goal is to bring something back with us, more joy, more connection, more purpose.

Same routine. Hopefully, a different person.
