Today, we remember the many lives lost too soon on September 11, 2001. One of those lives was that of brother Robert LeBlanc (Nu Beta '59).

Bob represented all that it means to be a Phi Mu Delta. A deep commitment to community, country and the good of the people around him. While he may not walk among us anymore, his legacy lives on through the lives he touched and continues to touch through the scholarship in his name at the University of New Hampshire and the brothers whom he continues to inspire.

Today, we remember those we lost on September 11, 2001. Among them was our own Professor Emeritus Robert LeBlanc '59, who was aboard United Airlines Flight 175, traveling to a geography meeting. Bob had devoted his career to understanding cultures and connecting people across the globe through his work in our geography department.

Bob joined UNH's faculty in 1963 when the geography program was in its infancy and helped build the program. He believed in meeting people "on their own ground" and encouraged students to approach the world with curiosity and respect. He remained active in research and teaching even after his official retirement in 1999.

His legacy continues through the Robert LeBlanc Memorial Scholarship, established in 2002 by his family and friends. Dozens of students have been awarded this scholarship, carrying forward Bob's dedication to understanding our world.

Today we remember Bob and all those we lost on September 11, honoring their memory and the values they represented. 💙

Wishing all our brothers, family and friends near and far a safe and joyful Independence Day.

As we reflect on 250 years of this nation we are lucky to call home, we find ourselves inspired by brothers past and present who live their lives in the spirit of Brotherhood, Service and Democracy.

We had the extraordinary pleasure of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Mu Beta Chapter at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio, this weekend with brothers from across the country.

Standing the test of time for 100 years is no easy feat; it is thanks to the many brothers and volunteers who have dedicated themselves to our values of brotherhood, service and democracy in pursuit of the common good. Whether at home, at Mu Beta, across Ohio, or as part of the National Fraternity. Phi Mu Delta wouldn’t be what it is today without the contributions of our Mu Beta brothers, past and present.

Here’s to 100 more years of Phi Mu Delta at Ohio Northern University!
