π Happy Monday! We're still thinking about Saturday.
Pack 329 spent Saturday at one of our all-time favorite local spots β Fall Run Park β and the weather absolutely delivered. Blue sky, cool air, sunlight coming down through the trees, and a whole crew of Scouts leading the way up the trail. βοΈ
If you've never hiked Fall Run, you're missing one of the best walks in the area. The trail follows the creek the whole way up, crossing back and forth over the little wooden bridges, until you reach the waterfall at the end. Our Scouts have hiked it before and they STILL stopped at every single bridge like it was the first time. π¦
What we love about a hike like this is how much happens along the way. Kids spotting things in the creek. Older Scouts hanging back to help the little ones over a rocky patch. Somebody's snack getting shared four ways. Nobody looking at a screen for two solid hours. π
We're two days out and there's still creek water in somebody's shoes. Worth it. π
Big thanks to every family who came out Saturday, and to the parents who hiked it right alongside us. Days like this are the whole point. π
A huge part of Scouting is just this β getting outside, in our own backyard, together. If your family wants in on it, Cub Scouts is open to boys and girls K through 5th grade and you don't need any outdoor experience to start. Send us a message anytime β we'd love to hear from you. πΎ
