Teetotal Initiative

Well... this is pretty exciting. 💛

Three and a half years ago, Jackie Slaugenhaupt and Scott Joseph Page had an idea:

Sobriety deserved more places to go.

Today, Scott tells the story behind that idea in a new article for The Sober Curator.

A huge thank you to The Sober Curator for giving our little Pittsburgh idea a much bigger microphone. 🥹

We’re not going to spoil the story here.

You’ll have to click for that. 😉

Scott Page shares how Teetotal Initiative creates sober events, friendship and belonging for people building alcohol-free lives in Pittsburgh.

We are SO excited about this one. 💙
Getting to know the team at Peerstar of PA - Peer Support Services over the past few months has been such an energizing experience. Their passion for recovery, connection, outreach, and making sure people can access the support and resources they need is incredibly inspiring.
It has been amazing to see how naturally our missions align, and even better to finally connect in person at the Pittsburgh Recovery Walk!
We can’t share all the details just yet, but we can say this: some really exciting things are coming from this collaboration, and we cannot wait to show you what we have been working on together.
So grateful for Peerstar, their incredible team, and the opportunity to build something meaningful together.
Stay tuned. This is just getting started. ✨

✨️Something is about to LAND between TeeTotal and Peerstar! Stay tuned✨️

We havent given many details for a reason, we want to give you a space to find the details you need, a reason to explore, and a way to connect! You will that access very soon!

The short of it: TeeTotal is located in Pittsburgh, PA and has a great recovery initiative! An organization that is worth checking out!

Lets shoutout TeeTotal!

There are some afternoons that stay with you long after they end. 🐴💛

Our Fresh Start: Healing with Horses gathering was one of them.

There was something incredibly grounding about slowing down, stepping into the field, and spending time in the presence of these beautiful animals. Horses have a way of asking us to be fully present. No rushing. No pretending. Just breath, connection, trust, and the quiet reminder that sometimes healing doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful.

A huge thank you to Kim Cardiel Earley for creating such a thoughtful and meaningful Fresh Start experience, and to Divine Interactions Equine Facilitated Wellness, LLC for welcoming us so warmly and allowing us to experience the majesty, gentleness, and personality of their incredible horses.

And to every single person who joined us, thank you. Thank you for showing up, for being open to something a little different, for sharing the afternoon with us, and for continuing to remind us why spaces like this matter.

At Teetotal Initiative, we believe that life is about so much more than what we leave behind. It’s about what we get to discover, the people we get to meet, the experiences we get to have, and the life we get to keep building.

Today was a pretty beautiful example of that. 💚

Thank you for being part of it.

🎨 Okay, but what are you doing tomorrow?
Because playing with paint, bubble wrap, leaves, string, sponges, gelli plates, and a bunch of other things that probably shouldn’t make beautiful art, but somehow DO, sounds like a pretty great Saturday afternoon to us. 😂
Printmaking Play: The Art of Surprise is TOMORROW!
No experience. No pressure. No worrying about whether you’re “artistic.” Just come experiment, get a little messy, make something completely unexpected, and have fun doing it.
✨ There’s still time to grab a spot.

Maybe adulthood isn’t boring. Maybe we just stopped scheduling field trips. 🚌✨

And around here, we take field trips pretty seriously.

That’s kind of our thing.

Teetotal creates sober-focused experiences that get you out of the house, trying something new and meeting people along the way.

🎨 Art. 🔭 Adventures. 🏛️ Museums. 🔥 Bonfires. 🧘 Wellness. 😂 Comedy shows. ⛳ Mini-golf. 🍳 Cooking classes. 🗺️ Hidden gems.

So consider this your permission slip. 🚌

Your next field trip is waiting.

See what’s coming up at www.teetotal.org 💛
