We marched, we chanted, we sweated….we did it all at the Labor Day Parade! The real source of our power? Our ability to organize strategic and direct actions that further our collective goals. The challenges we’re facing in our next round of contract campaigns, in the labor movement, and in the current political climate, makes the solidarity and community we must continue to build ever more vital. We navigated these treacherous waters before, and came out stronger for the fight, so we know how to do this, guided by experience and care. Due to all of us, is ready as a union to keep fighting and winning! ✊🏾💪🏾

We believe in the award-winning journalism they produce for New York, far more than the management does, and we stand ready to fight for a better, more stable, unionized newsroom with a strong contract at The New York Daily News.

I’m immensely honored to receive the Visionary Award from on May 13, along side fellow honorees Chris Erikson of IBEW Local 3 and Dominicanos UAW. I’m so proud of the recognition for the work we’ve been doing in driving unprecedented organizing campaigns that have raised standards, expanded protections, and built power for journalists and media workers across New York City and beyond. It takes a union to do all that we have accomplished since our reform slate first ran for Guild leadership in 2019 and started implementing our vision for a stronger, more vibrantly organized Guild in 2020. All of that work, which continues every day in our union, prepares us for the challenges ahead. Whatever they may be, we’ll navigate them together
