412 Flock “Making Pittsburgh Better, One Ride at a Time”

"Haciendo Pittsburgh Mejor, Un Paseo a la Vez" 412 Flock!

Goals:

*To add value to the Pittsburgh community and organizations by conducting fun, operationally sound bike rides that are returning-rider and new-arrival friendly.

*To emphasize safety and best practices to get people on bikes in an urban setting.

*To structure our activities as an outreach to communities that are not explicitly embraced by the typical cycling schedule.

*To reclaim the child-like sense of riding a bike by building joy into everything we do..

HELLO FROM THE OTHER SIDE!
The 412 Flock! Is starting to shake some of the dust from the last two years. And while we are not ready to do monthly rides yet, WE are staring to find each other again in this still-COVID but better times. And to start, we invite you to the East End Brewing Keg Ride, where we'll be offering free-of-charge marshal services again.

If you are interested in volunteering as a Marshal or Helper at the event, please let us know via PM!

AFTER TWO YEARS OF WAITING, THE KEG RIDE IS BACK!!! THE RIDE:  Since 2005, we’ve been celebrating the arrival of Pittsburgh’s Spring Cycling Season by delivering the season’s first kegs of Pedal Pale Ale… by bicycle. This year, it’s on Saturday, May 7th. This event also serves as a fu...

Greetings Flockstars!
Just wanted to say hi to everyone! Here at 412 Flock! things have been pretty quiet due to the pandemic, and we intend for them to continue that way until is safer to get together again. PLEASE NOTE that we haven't gone anywhere, WE ARE STILL HERE, but just want for everyone to be safe so we can pull this pandemic thru.

Please take care of your self and your loved ones, wear a mask, keep the 6'-0" distancing, and ride your bike safely as well.

Feel free to share bike memories whenever - we LOVE them! We promise you that once things are better (crossing our fingers for later next year 2021), we'll be back for one joyous ride!

Lastly, if being in quarantine or away from family/friends makes you blue, please feel free to reach out here - we are all in this together!

Hey Flockie-friends: As you could probably imagine, we won't be getting together for the near future.

We had planned on putting together a ride corresponding to the recently-canceled bike film festival, but we won't be doing that now.

We'll keep an eye and an ear out regarding our other yearly events, and we'll let you know what we know when we know it.

In the meantime, ride smart, ride safe, and ride (a little) silly.
