Unfortunately the help I was supposed to have was not really help at all so I am sick dealing with putting our office space back together on top of the already started renovations to open Gypsy Tea & Apothecary. Friends who are part of our local immigrant and refugee communities, working within these communities, and friends working in food policy/advocacy. Lettuce Turnip the Beet Sustainability Collective is trying to connect with your out of state friends and colleagues! We are looking for potential partners for a policy research working group which will focus on identifying laws and regulations which impact access to culturally appropriate food within their respective regions. We are looking to work with individuals and organizations from PA, New Jersey, Indiana, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, Minnesota, Utah, Colorado, Maryland, Ohio, and Massachusetts. Good things are happening in the neighborhood! In conjunction with Lettuce Turnip the Beet Sustainability Collective programing and events we will be hosting Free Produce Mondays the last Monday of July, August, and September from 3:00pm- 6:00pm at 2609 Brownsville Rd.
Please register in advance. There are a limited amount of shares and is based on order of registration.
