Our mission is to promote the success of women in engineering by providing resources for personal and professional development.

We are a group of technical men and women who support and encourage women to pursue careers in engineering. We provide professional development, social, networking, mentoring, and community service opportunities for the students at CMU and sponsor several events each semester such as the TOC Career Fair and High School Day. For out GBM we welcome guest speaker Satya Venneti who will be walking us through her career journey, experiences leading engineering teams and navigating the start-up world, and perspective as a woman of color in engineering. Satya is co-founder and CTO at Telling.ai, a start-up specializing in tele-health respiratory monitoring. She draws upon her expertise as an engineer and a human-machine interface researcher to lead Telling’s world class engineering team in teaching computers how to listen like doctors, creating digital health products that are disrupting respiratory care. Prior to founding Telling.ai, she held several software and consulting engineering roles and was also a researcher at CMU's Software Engineering Institute, where she worked on mission-practical human machine learning tools for the Department of Defense.

We will have a 20 minute presentation from Satya followed by Q&A discussion. There will also be yummy food!
