PGH HBCU Collaborative PGH HBCU Collaborative is an organization conceived to promote the awareness and advocacy of HBCU's.

The PGH HBCU Collaborative is a non-profit organization made up of HBCU alumni that: offers undergraduate and graduate recruitment for participating membership institutions; promotes awareness and advocacy of HBCUs; supports the development of local HBCU alumni chapters and regional/national affiliations; develops and maintains relationships with local and regional area school districts, colleges,

universities, and closely related
educational programs; arranges visits at participating institutions.

Applications are NOW OPEN for the 2027 Pittsburgh Omega Dr. Sylvester Pace HBCU Tour!

This life-changing experience gives students the opportunity to visit Historically Black Colleges and Universities, learn about admissions and scholarships, build connections, and experience the power of HBCU culture.

Families are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Applications will be reviewed immediately, and interviews will begin in June.

✅ Early Bird Deadline: June 15
✅ Tour Dates: March 20–27, 2027

We have an opportunity to support young Black students, and men in particular, but we need to move fast to help this program reach its goal.

Tennessee State University and Meharry Medical College have an accelerated 7-year MD/DDS program with full-ride scholarship potential, and they currently have ZERO Black male applicants.

The Details:

• Who: Black male high school seniors.

• Stats: 3.5 GPA & 28 ACT score.

• Goal: Become a Doctor or Dentist in 7 years

• The Perk: Possible FREE RIDE to TSU.
