Our final Champion we are honored to recognize is the Dr. Andre Samuel, founder, president and CEO of The Citizen Science Lab. He is a graduated of the University of the District of Columbia and Duquesne University. He is a prominent scientist and STEM education advocate. Our next Community Champion we are honored to recognize is Dr. Ketwana Schoos!

Dr. Schoos serves as Vice President for Institutional Compliance at CCAC, providing leadership in Civil Rights/Title IX, Compliance, Ethics, and Internal Audit initiatives.

She is also a faculty member at CCAC, serves on the Board of Directors for Youth Places, is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Upsilon Eta Zeta Chapter, where she serves as Pennsylvania State Chair of the Executive Board, and gives back through her charitable work with the Order of Eastern Star.

Dr. Curtis is a proud alumni of Morgan State University, Howard University and United Theological Seminary in Ohio and we are excited to honor him for all of his community empowerment.

The next Community Champion that we will honor at this year's R.I.S.E. Scholarship Dinner is Dr. Deborah J. Rogers as the first Director of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Rogers is a Proud Howard University and Schenley High Grad and leads efforts to ensure equitable access to library services and works to eliminate barriers facing patrons and staff.
