UPCOMING: PERIOD PRODUCT DONATION DRIVE 📢

On SATURDAY August 7, 2021 we are teaming up with to host our very first period product drive.

The drive will be held outside at the THIRD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH parking lot between 12pm-4pm. See flyer for address.

We are looking for unopened and untampered with boxes of period products, such as pads, tampons, etc. Absolutely anything helps!

All donations will be distributed to a variety of local participating shelters and organizations in the area, including

Please SHARE this flyer on social media & SHOW UP with any donations you can bring! The Church has an easily accessible parking lot directly on Fifth Avenue, making it super easy to make a drop off without leaving your car. Walk-ups are also encouraged!

Please DM or email us with any further questions regarding the drive, acceptable donations, the benefits, etc. If you would rather make a cash donation that will 100% go towards purchasing products to donate, please let us know! Welcome! We are a teen-led organization advocating for women’s welfare in the Pittsburgh area. 🌃

After discovering the shocking statistics regarding women’s health and safety in Pittsburgh, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve decided that change is vital.

In the U.S., 1 in 5 women have struggled to afford period products or have not had access to them. Period products range from $7-$20 a box, and women typically spend thousands of dollars during their lifetimes on these vital expenditures. For low-income women in Pittsburgh, access to these products is scarce, causing hundreds of women in the area to become victims of period poverty. Furthermore, Pittsburgh was voted #1 most unliveable city for black women in America this year.

Throughout the year, we hope to team up with other Pittsburgh youth to hold different donation drives and spread awareness about the issues women face in our city. If interested in joining our mission, stay tuned for more info about joining our group! We’d love to get as many passionate teens on board to aid our mission & improve the lives of women in our communities.
