A full-circle moment for our students 💛👟

Sto-Rox alumnus and renowned footwear designer John Geiger returned home to recognize five outstanding students with customized shoes.

These students earned this moment through straight A’s, strong attendance, exemplary behavior, and their commitment both in school and throughout our program.

Thank you, John, for giving back and showing our youth what is possible when talent, hard work, and community come together.

This is more than a gift. It is recognition, encouragement, and impact.

It was about appreciation 💛

Out of so many incredible students in our program, this group earned a special dinner for their behavior, grades, attendance, and hard work. We are proud of you, we celebrate you, and we hope this experience reminds you that great things are possible when you keep showing up.

Tonight, we’re celebrating our students with a one-of-a-kind dinner at The Capital Grille 💛

After five weeks of March Madness academic competition, these students earned it through hard work, improved grades, strong attendance, and positive behavior.

At Steel City Impact, exposure is part of the mission. We want our youth to experience new spaces, dress for the moment, and understand that with discipline, perseverance, and belief, greatness is possible. This is more than dinner. This is impact.

Today, our students got to experience The Capital Grille. A new environment, new foods, and a reminder that these spaces are attainable for them too.

The impact goes far beyond the classroom. 💛

This past month at Steel City Impact, our students experienced growth in so many ways, academically, emotionally, socially, and personally.

From hands-on STEM activities and self-care education… to meaningful conversations around mental health awareness… to celebrating students like Zaiere Porter for their leadership and character, every moment is about helping our youth grow into the best version of themselves.

None of this happens without community.

These moments build confidence, friendships, joy, and the reminder that hard work can lead to incredible opportunities.
