Happy Spring!! 🌸

The days are beautiful and the nights are clear this time of year. The good weather just puts everyone in an uplifted mood, which means it’s time to help more people.

We currently have a family who needs our 4 Paws community help. We have a wonderful mother who is need need of a service animal to help with day to day living. She is currently unable to go out and enjoy the basic social aspects of life due to debilitating panic and anxiety of the unknown. Her treating physician has decided the best way to regain a solid quality of life comes in the form of a furry face and muddy paws.

A psychiatric service dog has been found to be the best route for this family to take! The dog will be able to learn pressure therapy when things get overwhelming, a calming face when fears become to much, and guidance when p***c settings become a blur.

As we all know the cost for a service animal is high with no outside assistance to help. So we at 4 paws and with the help of our PAWsome community will be helping this family thrive in the only way we know how. there will be fun fundraisers to come and chances to help.

One of our favorite breeders is in a bind and looking for a loving home for a male golden from her most recent litter. This is not a service pup (or he could be) but just an adorable little man needing a home. Giving Tuesday is coming up. Please consider 4 Paws and a cause as your recipient. Money that is raised goes towards fundraising for children who need service animals due to medical conditions.

From start to finish of a service animal costs from $15,000 to $35,000 and is not covered by insurance leaving the burden on families who already are facing a difficult time caring for a disabled child. We strive to alleviate some of this burden by helping achieve the goal through the help of our communities and charitable donations. Each contribution is 100% tax deductible. Help us help a child in need.

Vet Visits: $100-$500
Equipment: $25-$100
Training: $15,000
Vetting: $300

Thanks to everyone who has graciously donated to our fundraising efforts for Landon we are happy to announce that’s his new service dog (in training) is home!

Meet “Shadow” he is 8 weeks old and will be extensively trained with a personal trainer in home to fit Landon’s needs. Over the next 2 year shadow will go through extensive obedience and service training. This pup is ready to be Landon’s new buddy and provide some safety for him and comfort to his mom.

When Landon’s mom came to us we were overjoyed to help her and Landon reach their goal and bring shadow home. We had a very small time frame to gather funds due to shadow being ready to come home from the breeder so soon, but thanks to each one of our supporters we were able to make help make it happen.

Now Shadow and Landon will be best of buddies!

We wish them all the best on their new adventures together and all the luck during training! 🐕 👦
