Outdoor Inclusion Coalition

Urban recreation is more than play, it’s a pathway to self-discovery, belonging, and community.

We’re proud to share Marcus & Me, a short film from REI Co-op and The Redford Center that highlights the power of climbing, mentorship, and outdoor access here in Pittsburgh.

Featuring the Outdoor Inclusion Coalition and one young person’s journey through climbing, this story is a reminder of what becomes possible when youth are given the space, support, and opportunity to explore.

Watch Marcus & Me on REI Co-op’s YouTube channel beginning Thursday, July 16 at noon.

As we close out an incredible snow sports season, we’re filled with gratitude for every young person, family, volunteer, instructor, and partner who made it possible. This season brought new experiences, new confidence, and lasting memories on the mountain.

Thank you to the many supporters who continue to invest in expanding access to snow sports and creating opportunities for youth in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

We’re proud of what was built this season and even more excited for what’s ahead. Here’s to the 2027 season and even more time outside.
