Today I had the pleasure of meeting up with David. His IT department at SHI did a toy drive and he donated the toys to Send A Smile. I met him at CINJ to donate the toys. Thank you David and everyone in your department. I also had the pleasure of touring the new CINJ building. The pediatric wing. This building is so beautiful and welcoming to the children. To explain how the toys work. They now have a room with shelves that looks like a store. When the kids are done with their procedures, they are allowed to go to the store and pick a gift. If they have a sibling with them they get to pick as well. The nurses shared with me that they are running low on toys. If you can we still have time to purchase more toys. We will keep the amazon wish list open up until the end of the month. Let’s make these kids smile. Thank you to everyone that have donated and to everyone that will be donating .

A great way to celebrate this Christmas is by giving back. Let put smiles on the faces of children fighting Cancer. We could make them feel some happiness by going to that toy chest and picking out a toy after treatment. It may be a small gesture but if it makes a kid happy that’s huge. For the folks that already made purchases we thank you.

Dear FB friends. It’s that time of the year again. Yes, the holiday season is almost here! For many of us this brings a time full of happiness and joy and timeless memories. Unfortunately for some they have to spend their time in and out of hospitals receiving treatments that often leaves them feeling down and gloomy. Yes we are talking about children. You can help change that and make a kid smile this holiday season. We are asking for donations of any new toys priced from 1-20 dollars. We are also taking monetary donations as well. This will ensure that every time a child goes for treatment they walk away with a toy in their hand and a smile on their face. Remember this is not an easy fight. I’ve seen firsthand the type of treatment that goes on for people with Cancer. My dad had a long battle and it was there that I realized treatment doesn’t look fun and to a child could be very scary. What I remembered is that the times I went with my dad to treatment the nice nurses always ensured I walk away with a toy and I wasn’t even the one receiving treatment. They just cared that much. This is why this holiday season my sister and I ask that we keep on caring for the kids at The Cancer Institute of NJ (CINJ) and keep them in our minds always. Be the reason that a kid walks out of treatment with a smile on His/her face. You have the power to make a kids day!

To our Piscataway community and friends from far away. Thank you all for your help to Put Smiles on Kids Faces. Tomorrow we will deliver over a hundred toys and gift cards to the Cancer Institute of NJ. This is our first delivery. We will make another delivery next week. Thanks to MLK School. They are still collecting and we still need to go shopping with the monies collected. This is my way of being transparent and to thank everyone for their support. We will collect until next Thursday if anyone is interested. We couldn’t do any of this without you all. Love always 💜

Happy Sunday. Here is an update from our Send a Smile toy drive. Toys received-81 pieces Money - $245For everyone that is making this possible. Just know that we appreciate. The nurses and children at CINJ appreciates it. There is still time. We will make our delivery the hopefully on Friday. Enjoy the rest of the day💜

Hello. This message is coming from Mikey and Mary.

As the holiday season approaches it is a time that many of us look forward to. Whether it's spending time with family, friends, or opening gifts. Some families don't have the privilege to have a stress free holiday. This is because they spend a majority of their time in the hospital with their children who are going through cancer treatment. Although we can't do much, the least we can do is put a smile on their face. You can help by donating. Anything as little as one dollar goes a long way and would be greatly appreciated by the children at the Cancer Institute of NJ. Our goal is to raise as much money as we possibly can so that we can buy a lot of toys for the kids of the Cancer Institute so that they can leave the hospital with a toy in their hand and a smile on their face this holiday season. These kids endure more than most people can imagine and for them to be able to have something to look forward to while going through their treatment will make a huge difference on the way they view going to the hospital, which is a dreadful task for them and their families. So once again all we are asking for is one dollar or (small toys are accepted as well, DM my mom for the address), it will go a very long way towards putting a smile on these kid faces.
