Nothing compares to an aerial view that brings you face to face with the chief.
Crazy Horse Memorial is dedicated to honoring the memory of Crazy Horse, a prominent Native American leader of the Oglala Lakota Sioux tribe.
The primary feature of the memorial is the colossal sculpture of Crazy Horse on the face of Thunderhead Mountain. This sculpture, when completed, will be the largest sculpture in the world, significantly larger than Mount Rushmore.

Nov. 1, 1916, these four women — Annie Param, Anna Angales, Elizabeth Berkeley, and Sadie Thompson — were in Washington, DC, for the annual Former Slave Convention. Each claimed to be more than 100 years old. Though we can’t be certain about their ages, they came together to reflect on the past and act on the future.The month long convention, then in its 54th year, opened at the Cosmopolitan Baptist Church in Washington in November 1916, with many centenarian attendees. They say I will burn in hell for not following the Bible, but yet it has been used as weapon to colonize and murder my people...
for me it’s spirituality over religion. I don’t hate people for going to church, but I do hate what the churches have done to us...
before colonization we had our own ways and ceremonies, I choose the path of my ancesto…
