It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend, Larry Saylor. He was a passionate advocate for martial arts and a driving force for the Arizona State Karate Alliance. He touched the lives of many.

Larry was not only a champion of the arts but also a true friend to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

We extend our deepest condolences to Larry's family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Larry. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten. 🕊️

I'm sorry to announce, but unfortunately the Self Defense Seminar with Mr Hutchcroft event has been canceled. Mr. Hutchcroft has had an issue with his right eye and is unable to travel for some time. We look forward to having him come another time in the future. We will keep you posted. If you purchased tickets, they will be refunded. Thank you for your understanding.

While the Arizona State Karate Alliance will no longer be charging dues or hosting a Points Banquet, we are committed to keeping the page and community alive. We believe that the connections and friendships that have been formed within our community are valuable and should be maintained.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to all of our members and supporters who have been a part of the Arizona State Karate Alliance. Your dedication and passion for the martial arts have been truly inspiring, and we are grateful for the memories and experiences that we have shared together.

Friends of Todd Keightley:

At the end of June, Todd was in a terrible accident and we lost a wonderful man and martial artist. Taken way too young.

I spoke to his mother and she told me there will be a service for him on August 16th at 10am Life Community Church at 8155 W Thunderbird. All are welcome.

We will miss you Todd! Thank you for great times working out, sparring and talking. ❤️

Monday we lost a very sweet and inspirational woman in our Karate Community, Sensei Barbara Hoffman, 4th degree in Goju Shorei

Many of you met her at the tournaments. I wish I could find a better picture of her than this. Mr Sasso and Ms Hoffman used to come to our dojo each Christmas and help the kids celebrate Christmas. It was always a big hit. They took time away from their own dojo to make it special for our kids.

Join us in our thoughts and prayers to her family and loved ones. She was a great example of Training Always and she will be missed!
