Please welcome our newest Chef Instructor BACK to the Skills Center. Nehemiah graduated from Community Kitchen with Class 84 (2015) and has been a active employment partner since. Nehemiah was inducted into the Community Kitchen HALL OF FAME last September and we are blessed to have him join our CK team as a Kids Cafe (Hot Meals) Chef Instructor working with Chef Cynthia. Nehemiah brings a wealth of knowledge and will continue to inspire and help many students they work together to feed children around the valley.

There is something extra special when we hire one of our graduates to become one of our instructors. Shane graduated the LIFT program (Class 11). He went on to work as a Warehouse Associate and Production Coordinator here at St. Mary's and has now joined our LIFT team as the Tier 2 Instructor. We are excited to have him as part of our team and see his influence project onto the students.

We are excited to have a new member of our Job Coaching team. Audrey comes to the Skills Center with over 25 years of restaurant experience and will be instrumental in helping our graduates find employment.
If you are currently in the culinary world and need qualified employees, reach out to Community Kitchen and let us find you great candidates. If we are a past grad needing additional support- contact a member of our support team and come in for our alumni days where you can meet with Audrey and Tanya.
Audrey-- welcome to the Skills Center at St. Mary's Foodbank.

Exciting stuff for our LIFT Program-- LIFT added the Virtual Reality simulators to allow our LIFT students more time on equipment. Students are practicing with real handles and do everything from driving the lift, picking up loads, unloading trailers, putting away loads and other tasks virtually. Our 9 week LIFT program will begin accepting applications again in June.
