🔥🎯 TACONIC HILLS TRAP TEAM TAKES ON THE STATE'S BEST! 🎯🔥

What a day for the Taconic Hills Titans Trap Team at the New York State Tournament on June 7th!

Competing against 31 of the top trap teams from across New York, the Titans turned in an outstanding performance, finishing an impressive 7th Overall with a team score of 450 out of 500 targets! 💥🏆

Despite battling strong winds, cool temperatures, and off-and-on showers throughout the day, our shooters stayed focused and proved they can compete with anyone in the state. The top team posted a score of 468, putting the Titans right in the hunt against some of New York's finest competitors.

We couldn't be prouder of these student-athletes. Their dedication, sportsmanship, teamwork, and countless hours of practice were on full display throughout the tournament.

But the season isn't over yet...

This July, 11 Taconic Hills shooters will travel to Mason, Michigan, to represent our school and community at the National Championship Tournament after being among the 24 team members who qualified for the event.

🎯🏆 STATE TOURNAMENT BOUND! 🏆🎯

This weekend, the Taconic Hills Trap Team will be heading to Bridgeport Rod & Gun Club to compete in the New York State High School Clay Target League State Tournament!

The team will travel on Saturday for a final practice session before taking the field on Sunday. After practice, the athletes will enjoy a good-luck pizza party generously sponsored by Bradway Plumbing. 🍕👏

This year, 31 student-athletes will represent Taconic Hills at the state tournament. Coming off a tremendous season and a Conference Championship, the team is excited, focused, and ready to compete against some of the best shooters in the state.

Before we get started with indoor season we have a few more indoor sessions to go! Be sure to join us at Buckhorn Archers and Stockbridge Sportsmen's Club Archery next weekend for a fantastic shoot as always!

🎯 Event Details:

🏹 Cub & Youth: February 21st at 11 a.m. or 2 p.m.
Youth (ages 12–16) shoot 20 yards
Cubs (11 & under) shoot 10 yards

🏹 Adults: February 22nd at 9 a.m. or 1 p.m.

Categories include Compound Freestyle (Men & Women), Bowhunter Compound (Men & Women), and Traditional Longbow or Recurve

🎯 Competition Format:

60 arrows total (5 arrows per end, 12 ends)
Distance: 20 yards
Choice of single or five-spot target

💲 Registration Fees:
Adults: $15
Youth & Cubs: $5

Preregistration recommended; walk-ins allowed if space is available
