Teens For Christ Connection

TFC's 50th Anniversary is now less than 6 months out! Wow, can you believe it? For such a big accomplishment, we have been planning a celebration that will remind us all of the good work that the Lord has blessed our communities with. We will have our celebration Friday and Saturday, April 2-3 at North Oak Church in Hays, Kansas. So, if you haven't already, mark your calendars and be ready for a Disciplemaker's Reunion!

The TFC Connection groups are getting started for the year and on September 2nd I (Brian) visited the Oberlin TFC group for their first meeting of the year. It was a fun night filled with food, games and worship - please pray for them as they go through the new school year. They meet downtown at 103 W. Commercial from 6-8 PM on Wednesday nights. Throughout the year I will be visiting all of our Associate Groups and Church Partners and will share about them here on Facebook. These groups are led by volunteer leaders and/or pastors who we partner with to accomplish our vision to promote and encourage youth ministry in rural communities in NW Kansas and SW Nebraska. If you are interested in learning more about partnering with TFC in growing youth ministry in your community, please contact me at [email protected].

Today is the final day of TFC Camp 2026 so please pray for this group of teens as they go back home and into the storms of life that they will continue to seek Jesus as their oasis. Thank you for your prayers yesterday! It was another fun day and the storms held off long enough in the evening for the teens to be able to make s’mores before heading inside for the prayer stations. We tried a new inside set up for the prayer stations that I think worked well. We are hearing good stories about what God is doing in the lives of some of the teens at camp and you have been a part of that as our prayer warriors. Thank you so much for praying with us and for us! We really appreciate your spiritual investment in us and the teens at camp! Be ready to join us for TFC Camp 2027 next year!

Here we are at the last full day of TFC Camp 2026 and as we met as a staff this morning, the key takeaway from yesterday was that it was a really fun day! We had a lot of different activities that caused joy and laughter including our water games and water fight in the afternoon and a luau party with karaoke before bed. It was a day filled with fun and joy so thank you for the prayers! Today we will have fun too and then tonight is prayer station night which is always the key activity in helping the campers take steps in their faith so please pray for good weather for this evening so that we can do it outside since we have more campers this week. Thank you again for being a part of this camp through your prayers! We really appreciate it!

Thank you for your prayers for yesterday. It was a good day filled with a lot of fun as well as teaching and worship. Enjoy some pictures of the up front games during the rallies as well as the all camp dodgeball morning game and the evening game show competition. The morning seminars included one that focused on the problem of evil in the world and how we can trust the goodness and love of God in the midst of all of the storms of life. The other seminar focused on helping the teens learn about placing their identity in Christ and not the things of the world. Today the seminars will focus on how to have peace in Christ in the middle of the storms of life and how science points to God as the Creator of everything. Please pray for the leaders today as they lead the camp and as they teach and for the small group leaders as they work with their groups. Thank you for your spiritual investment in TFC Camp 2026!

It was a scorcher yesterday as we started week 2 of TFC Camp 2026 but we still had fun and the get to know you games included some water so that helped. The first picture is our small group leaders for this week so please be praying for them as they lead their groups this week. The up front games during the rallies are always fun and sometimes messy as you can see. And with our focus on the “eye of the storm” this year, the teams had to build shelters to keep their stuffed animal dry from the storm of wind and rain. The focus of the teaching for camp is Psalm 73 so if you want to join with us in our spiritual focus you can read it everyday and pray from it. The teens are working on memorizing it and several of them memorized the whole thing last week and more will memorize all of it this week. Thank you for being a part of the camp team through your prayers for us!

We have prayed and prepared for the second week of TFC Camp 2026 and the heat is on repeat for Monday this week. 🥵 Pray with us as we start another week - Pray for the weather to be good, pray for the staff and interns as they lead, and pray for the campers that they have soft hearts and minds that are open to whatever God wants them to learn about Him this week! Thank you for all of your prayers and support for TFC Camp 2026! 🙌

I want to start out by explaining the first picture because it is a special one. During the evening rally we had several guests show up and many of them were interns from the past. In this picture you see 5 current interns and 10 former interns (and some of their children). Three of the former interns are now staff members and one current intern is planning on becoming a staff member soon hopefully. Earlier in the day we had two more former interns on the campground with their children and at least two of the former interns in the picture are married to former interns too. The heritage of TFC runs deep in this area. As for the day yesterday, thank you for your prayers. We didn’t receive any more rain so all of the games and activities went well but some of the staff decided to move the prayer stations inside “just in case” and with the smaller group this week, it went well. As we wrap up week 1 today, as always, be praying for the teens as they head back home and into the “real world” - Pray that what they have experienced and learned here makes a lasting impact on their spiritual walk with Jesus. Thank you!
