The WesGold Fellows Final Presentations were a powerful celebration of growth, hard work, and everything our Fellows have accomplished throughout the program.

After weeks of learning, connecting, and building new skills, our Fellows had the opportunity to take the stage, share their ideas, and showcase just how far they’ve come.

A special thank you to the University City Science Center , for generously hosting this special milestone and providing a space for our Fellows to share their ideas, showcase their growth, and celebrate their accomplishments.

Behind every successful career is someone willing to share what they’ve learned.

Throughout the summer, our Fellows have had the opportunity to hear from professionals across a wide range of industries, with each speaker bringing valuable insight to the week’s theme.

From personal development and effective communication to personal finance, entrepreneurship, investing, and more.

These conversations have challenged our Fellows to think bigger, ask questions, and envision what’s possible for their future.

Week 5 took the WesGold Fellows to Washington, D.C. for an immersive look at the world of real estate and construction. 🏛️

Throughout the week, Fellows explored the many paths within the real estate industry, gaining a deeper understanding of residential and commercial real estate while seeing firsthand how our built environment shapes communities.

Their experience extended beyond the classroom with visits to the U.S. Capitol, George Washington University, and the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, where they reflected on the stories, achievements, and history that continue to shape our nation.

Back in the classroom, Fellows participated in discussions on real estate entrepreneurship, industry terminology, and the skills needed to build successful careers in the field.

As part of the WesGold Fellows Leadership Cohort, Fellows spend one day each week gaining real-world experience with industry partners.

Through our partnership with SUPRA, Fellows will get an inside look at what it takes to run a certified small business, from procurement and operations to customer service and workplace solutions.

SUPRA is a HUBZone-certified, minority-owned business with over 100 years of combined industry expertise… exactly the kind of business our Fellows need to learn from.

Partnerships like this show our Fellows that small businesses can compete at the highest levels. And that's a lesson worth showing up for.

Last week, our Fellows spent the day at The Wardrobe , building a professional wardrobe and learning how personal presentation can strengthen first impressions and support effective communication.

Week 2 is in the books! 🎉
Last week, our Fellows focused on one of the most valuable skills any leader can have: effective communication.

Through debates, engaging discussions, guest speakers, and a visit to The Wardrobe to build professional wardrobes, they learned that strong communication is about more than speaking well. It’s about how you present yourself, build relationships, and show up with confidence.

Every week brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and prepare for what’s ahead, and we can’t wait to see what Week 3 has in store.

Week 1 is officially in the books! 👏

Our WesGold Fellows kicked things off by getting to know the VestedIn team during orientation, investing in their personal growth through workshops with Mike Gross and Kimberly Reid, and taking time to recharge with a group yoga session.

Stay tuned as we head into Week 2, where the focus shifts to one of the most valuable skills our Fellows will develop throughout the program: Effective Communication.
