Closing out pride month, we're highlighting Quinn, a professional soccer player whose impact on the game extends far beyond the field!
Quinn made history as the highest-drafted Canadian in NWSL history when they were selected third overall by the Washington Spirit in the 2018 NWSL Draft. They went on to spend six seasons with Seattle Reign FC, making more than 80 appearances and helping the club capture the 2022 NWSL Shield. Throughout their professional career, Quinn has been recognized for their leadership, consistency, and ability to elevate those around them.
On the international stage, Quinn has represented Canada at multiple FIFA Women's World Cups and three Olympic Games. They helped Canada win a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympics and played a key role in Canada's historic gold medal-winning run at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
When Canada won its first-ever Olympic gold medal in soccer, Quinn became the first openly transgender and nonbinary athlete to win an Olympic medal of any color. Their visibility has helped create greater representation in sports and has inspired countless young people to embrace who they are with confidence and pride!
