A few of our Exchange Club members had a busy few days this past week.
On Thursday, Oct 22nd at Library 21C, a few members (and a future member Bob Warren of MuttMasters K9 Academy) came out to help at the Rocky Mountain Inclusive Connections (RMIC) Halloween Party. We were there to help the RMIC team setup the area for the party and stayed for the party helping with drinks and playing along in some games. It was a great time seeing the kids enjoy themselves. We partner with RMIC to help promote what they do with the special needs kids transitioning to young adulthood. Check them out and see how you can help too. Pictured are just 3 of the 4 members who were there.
Then, on Saturday, Oct 24th just a few members did our quarterly highway cleanup. Yes, it was cold and windy, but we had to get the cleanup done before Winter set in. Just four members of our club completed the two-mile stretch. With the small crew, it took us 2 hrs and 45 minutes which was the longest time spent on any cleanup that we have done so far. We had a total of 15 bags, 4 animals, about 85 empty airplane bottles (pretty sad to find all of these). Anyway, we are done for this year and will do our next cleanup first part of 2027. The 2-mile stretch looked great.

🎓 September Student Award Winners! 🎓

On October 14th, the Exchange Club of Falcon was proud to recognize three outstanding students as our September Monthly Award winners through our Scholarship Program! These are students from D49 Falcon Zone and Patriot Applied Learning Campus.

Congratulations to these deserving students for their hard work, dedication, and achievements. We are honored to recognize their accomplishments and encourage them to continue striving for success!

🏆 The Next Step: A Scholarship Opportunity!

We encourage each monthly award winner to submit an application for our Youth of the Year or A.C.E. of the Year Scholarship for a chance to receive a $1,000 scholarship! The winners at the local level will advance to the Four Corners District competition for an opportunity to earn an additional scholarship.

We want to see these students take advantage of this opportunity and continue building a bright future!

The Exchange Club of Falcon is having our monthly meeting next Wednesday (October 14, 2026) at the IHOP at the corner of Stetson Hills Blvd and Powers Blvd (Address is 5749 Stetson Hills Blvd, C/S). Our members like to have dinner prior so we will arrive at 5:30PM and anyone is welcomed to come for dinner too. The meeting will begin at 6:30PM.
Everyone is invited to attend our meeting. We plan on having a few of our monthly student nominees from Falcon High School District 49 and Patriot Applied Learning Campus who will be competing for our Annual Scholarship awards in April 2027. We will have a guest speaker from Mutt Masters K9 Academy (Dog training in Colorado Springs) at the meeting as well.

What an incredible weekend at our 17th Annual Falcon Craft Fair! We had an awesome turnout, and we want to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make this year's event such a success! 🎉

More than 130 vendors joined us for the weekend, bringing their incredible crafts, products, and talents to Falcon. We appreciate each and every one of you for being part of our Craft Fair!

Our vendors were treated to coffee from Dutch Bros. and donuts from Walmart, helping make the weekend extra special for our vendors. We truly appreciate their generosity and support!

We are especially grateful to World of Hearts LLC for her tremendous support in running our Silent Auction Basket Raffle. Melissa Gorsuch's help made the raffle a great success, and we sincerely appreciate everything she did to help make this year's event special.

🧥🥫 THANK YOU FOR HELPING OUR COMMUNITY!
We were especially touched by the generosity of everyone who brought winter clothing and non-perishable food donations to the Craft Fair. These donations will be given to the Eastern Plains Community Pantry, where they will help local individuals and families in need.

🎖️🏃 A HUGE SHOUT-OUT TO OUR STUDENT VOLUNTEERS!
We want to give a very special THANK YOU to the more than 16 D49 Falcon Zone Falcon High School Space Force Junior ROTC Cadets and 6 members of the Falcon High School Cross Country Team who volunteered their time throughout the Craft Fair. My POC for rallying the volunteers was Grant Suerdieck of the JROTC Cadets and we appreciate his effort in working this.

These students worked incredibly hard helping our vendors bring their products in from their vehicles, get set up, and then tear everything down at the end of the event. They also helped us set up and tear down the enormous number of tables and chairs needed for more than 130 vendors.

Their hard work, positive attitudes, and willingness to help others made a tremendous difference. We are extremely proud of these young people and grateful for their service to our community! 👏🇺🇸

To everyone who came out to shop, visit, eat, browse the booths, participate in the raffle, and support our event — THANK YOU! Your support allows the Exchange Club of Falcon to continue giving back to organizations and programs throughout El Paso County.

NEXT WEEKEND. A shopping frenzy for everyone on October 3rd and 4th at the Falcon High School. Address is 10255 Lambert Road.
Two day indoor event. Oct 3rd - 9am-3pm and Oct 4th 11am-3pm.

Oh - every day I will be posting what vendors will be at the show. We have 120+ vendors to shop from - under one roof.

As part of our Americanism pillar of the Exchange Club, we donated lap blankets to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care. The lap blankets were provided by Kelley LeRoy. Her sister crocheted these blankets to donate and she lives on Ohio.
How great is this to have donors supporting us from out of state.
Sonya Bergeron/Pikes Peak Hospice greatly appreciated this donation. The lap blankets are given to veterans in hospice. We will accept more lap blankets to donate, it is coming up on winter so they will be greatly appreciated. Just contact Theresa at +1 (719) 684-4139 and she can let you know the dimensions.
