The Exchange Club of Falcon is partnered with Mt Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center. I attended a quarterly partnership meeting with Tameica last week and a presenter talked to the group about the SSG Fox Su***de Prevention Grant Program (SSG Fox SPGP). Mt Carmel has received another grant from this program to support its mission of preventing Veteran su***de.
This is a topic that not many people want to talk about, but it is real. Look at the trifold on this post to get more information about this program and how Mt Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center can be there for you.
For more information please call (719) 309-4746 or email [email protected].

The Exchange Club of Falcon is hosting our 17th Annual Falcon Craft Fair. We have already sent out applications to our previous year's vendors and we always welcome any new crafters/vendors who would like to join our show.
This is a two-day INDOOR event at the Falcon High School on Oct 3 and 4, 2026. Oct 3rd (Saturday) 9am - 3pm and Oct 4th (Sunday) 11am - 3pm.
If you are a vendor/crafter who would like to join our show, please call/text Don at (719) 369-5158 for more information.
Reminder - All booth fees and possible 50/50 raffle will be used for our programs and donated to our non-profit partnering agencies who share our four pillars of concern: Child Abuse Prevention (Our National Project), Americanism, Youth Programs and Community Support. Our list of partnering agencies are from the El Paso County, so we support our local communities.
We plan to have over 100 vendors at our show and a variety of crafters/vendors to shop from. Please pass the word around to friends and families about our craft fair the first weekend in October 2026.
We thank everyone in our community for their support in our activities over the past year.

We are partnered with Mt Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center and I recently attended a meeting where dates were announced for the Free Food Distro hosted by Veteranscenter.org and Mt Carmel Veterans Service Center.
Here is a flyer with dates from July 2026 through December 2026. This event is open to all families (not just veterans) to come and receive free food. It starts at 10AM and will end on that day when there is no more food to giveaway - FREE FOOD to those who need it.
You need to go to the Upper Lot of the Penrose Events Center (the parking lot is across the street from Mt Carmel Veterans Service Center. This location may be hard to find (it is not actually in Penrose Events Center - it is the upper lot). Use your GPS to go to Mt Carmel Center and on the road leading to the center you will see signs for the parking lot.
Everyone - Please pass this information on to those families who are in need.

We had a great meeting Tuesday with one of the organizations who will be attending our Eastern Plains Senior Resource Expo on July 25, 2026 at the Bennett Ranch Elementary School District 49.
We met with Ms Wanda Massari of Rocky Mountain PACE (a non-profit organization) with Rocky Mountain Health Care Services. The PACE model of care —Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly— enriches the lives of older adults through coordinated health care. She replaced the previous coordinator for Falcon, so we gave her a run down of Falcon and how Rocky Mountain PACE could benefit our community in Falcon and Black Forest.
Meeting with service organizations like PACE and learning more about their services was an absolute joy. It was nice to see what we have available to us in Falcon , Black Forest and pretty much most of El Paso County for our seniors and caregivers to utilize. Rocky Mountain PACE will have a booth at our Senior Resource Expo July 25, 2026. We are rounding up more organizations to be at the expo, so stay posted to our page for more information as the day gets closer.

Great turnout for our quarterly highway cleanup that we just had on May 16, 2026. It started off with great weather, which made picking up trash more enjoyable (well, picking up trash really isn't enjoyable).
We had 21 volunteers show up. We had at least five Boy Scout Troop 149 scouts and leaders, awesome support from the D49 Falcon Zone Space Force JROTC team (around 10), volunteers from a new volunteer organization called "Mountain Views Volunteer Association", and our own club members.
With all of these volunteers, we had the 2-mile stretch cleaned up in 1.25 hours - a record time. it had been six months since we had a cleanup as our March cleanup was canceled due to weather. More than 15 bags, 2 animal carcuses (poor babies), a license plate, several little shot bottles, and many cigarette butts (good thing no fires started from them). That Falcon Highway portion looked great afterwards. Thanks to the El Paso County Trash removal department for picking the bags up.
We are good for this quarter and will schedule another one closer to the end of August.
We want to express our sincere thanks to all of our community volunteers to help our club. We are a small club, so having support from the rest of the community helps us achieve our commitments.
