We have two cats who currently require amputations. First is Koko, who is approximately 18 months old. She was found in a parking lot. She was limping badly and had obviously been hit by a car. Her back leg is broken in two places. It cannot be splinted and the only option is amputation. She is scheduled for this coming Thursday.
Second is Autumn, who is 8 to 10 weeks. She was found on a county road along with two other kittens that had been ran over and killed. They had obviously been dumped. Her front leg is badly broken and again no optiom but amputation. She needs to be at least 3 pounds before surgery and she is 2.3 lbs now.
If you are able to help us with the bill for these two surgeries, anything is appreciated.

Renee’s 3 week old bottle baby, Peachy, was a star at the career fair yesterday. She had kids lined up to see her.
We were at the school from 7:30 am until just after 2 pm. Peachy is still on an every 2-3 hour feeding schedule so she had to come. She stayed in her carrier sleeping until it was time to come out and eat. The kids were fascinated watching Renee feed her with the bottle. During the feeding Renee gave the kids a lesson in how to tell the age of a kitten by when its ears stand up. Also, since Peachy was found alone on the road, she also stressed to them how important it is to get cats spayed and neutered. No one held her except Renee and myself.
