Last night's Taylor County CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) meeting was a success! The Florida Department of Health in Taylor County provided hands-on CPR training to our CERT members and several members of the public.
Participants learned valuable lifesaving skills that can make a critical difference during emergencies. From proper chest compressions to responding confidently in life-threatening situations, the knowledge gained will help make our community stronger, safer, and more prepared.
A special thank you to our Health Department instructors for their time, expertise, and commitment to educating our community.

Taylor County CERT Represents Our Community!

Taylor County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members recently attended the Florida CERT Conference thanks to scholarships and grant funding from Volunteer Florida and the Florida CERT Association.

Emergency Management Director Dr. Danny Glover and CERT member Eric DeMotta spent the week learning new skills, exchanging ideas, and networking with emergency preparedness volunteers from across Florida.

We are especially proud that Dr. Glover was invited to be one of the conference's Friday keynote speakers.

The knowledge and connections gained at this conference will help strengthen our local preparedness efforts and ensure Taylor County is ready to respond when disasters strike.

🌟 Thank You for a Great April CERT Meeting! 🌟
We want to extend our thanks to CERT member Chief RB Lee and the firefighters who brought two fire trucks to our meeting last night. It was a fantastic opportunity for the CERT team to learn about the equipment and understand how we can support our fire departments when called upon.
This experience served as a powerful reminder of the vital role all first responders play in keeping us safe. We appreciate everything they do!
We were also thrilled to see some new faces at our meeting alongside a few veteran CERT members we have missed who are eager to get back involved. It was a great session filled with valuable insights!
