We were honored to wrap up 's inaugural season with an interpreted performance of The Christians. The theatre provided an immersive feel by performing the play which is set in a church, in an actual chapel complete with the audience in pews and stained glass windows.

We began our partnership with with the monumental, over 6 hour undertaking that is Angels in America. Our team of 3 interpreters logged over 150 hours of prep time to being this behemoth of a show to life in ASL.

The final show of 's was the wildly successful Hadestown. This incredible show played to sold-out houses of audiences that couldn't believe the talent they were seeing onstage were youth!
The talent and professionalism of the interpreters shined as well when the team of three became two at the last minute due to illness. Because the remaining interpreters had spent a significant amount of time collabrating and studying the story of the show in advance, they were able to adjust and smoothly provide high quality interpretation befitting the caliber of the talent onstage.

Did you know there is more than one way to get involved? Interpreting theater is a team effort with LOTS of work and collaboration happening behind the scenes. Here's how you can get involved!

+ ASL Interpreter - Already licensed? Both provisional and generally licensed interpreters of all experience levels are welcome on our teams!
+ Interpreting Interns - Still a student or looking for a smaller step into theatrical interpreting? Join our interpreting team and be mentored as you take on a small part of a show, such as a character with fewer lines or an ensemble song!
+ Observing Interns - Not yet ready to be hands-up? Join us as we prepare a show and be a part of the behind-the-scene preparation and collaboration!

We finished up 's Rusalka with their final public performance for a full house in their home theater space. We love the Operatunity shows as we get to interpret the shame show a few times throughout the season in different venues, allowing us to find new meanings and connections in the story along the way.

wrapped up their 2025/26 season with a massive turnout for The Wizard of Oz. Many of the actors had spent time backstage practicing and were able to introduce themselves using ASL in the lobby after the show. Several audience members took the opportunity to chat with some of the actors through our interpreters and ask about their experiences in the show. We were thrilled to be able to facilitate these connections!

Come see Grease!

This weekend, this incredible cast of adults with and without disabilities brings you classics such as "You're the One that I Want", "Summer Nights", and "Greased Lightning"!

All shows are ASL interpreted, open captioned, and audio described. There is a large ADA section, with wheelchair seating in the ASL section.

Tickets are pay-what-you-can.

Reserve your seat on the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts website under "performances".

Our flagship theatre collab Order Chaos Theater Company finished off their season with A Moon for the Misbegotten. Their provocative productions are what sparked the original inspiration of The ASL Impact Program. Their commitment to building bridges in the community has echoed through over 30 productions this season.
