Peoria Pioneer Lions is having a fundraiser event. On March 24, 2026 you’ll want to dine at the Black Bear Diner on Bell and 60th Ave in Glendale. 20% of the meal will be donated to Peoria Pioneer Lions club. You’ll be enjoying a meal plus donating to Peoria Pioneer Lions club.

Peoria Pioneer Lions provide local children with vision needs as well as supporting local schools with new books for their libraries. We also provide funds to Leader Dogs, AZ Vets, local Food Banks/Pantries, Lions Camp Tatiyee, and more.

PEORIA PIONEER LIONS SERVING.

Peoria Pioneer Lions delivered books to Cotton Boll Elementary School. The club was able to purchase the books with the financial assistance of Peoria Council member, Jennifer Crawford. Pictured with Lions Ellen, Lou, Paul and Theresa are Librarian Tammy, Principal Christina Arias and children of Cotton Boll Elementary School. Peoria Pioneer Lions motto: WE SERVE.

With the funding provided by Peoria council member, Jennifer Crawford the Peoria Pioneer Lions were able to purchase and deliver books to Santa Fe Elementary School librarian Ms Rosario. Lions Theresa and Lou Maresco, Paul and Ellen Yopps are pictured displaying the books with librarian, Ms Rosario. The students will enjoy reading all the exciting stories found in all these books.

With the financial help of Council lady Denette Dunn, Peoria Pioneer Lions Club purchased reading books for Alta Loma Elementary School in Peoria AZ. The books will be placed in the book vending machine at the school library. The students will be able to obtain a book using tokens they have received for various achievements they've earned. Lions Paul and Ellen Yopps, Librarian, Ms Hansen, Lions Joyce and Rob Mayer and Assistant Principal, Kristen Henninger are picture in front of the Book Vending machine. Some of our members took a walk down Union Hills in Peoria to complete our quarterly street clean up. What a great day for a walk and thank you everyone for participating in this event. Great fun with a great group of volunteers! LIONS roar!
