This is what putting a little love in your heart looks like. 💙💛
For years, Truth For Youth has been showing up for young people and families in our community, sometimes in big ways, sometimes in simple ones, and always with the belief that our children are worth showing up for.
Today, that looked like backpacks and school supplies. Volunteers giving their time. Families stopping by. Conversations under the tents. Neighbors taking care of neighbors.
The vision Rev. John H. Powell (Founder, R.I.P.) carried for Truth For Youth was always bigger than one event.
It was about investing in young people, building community and making sure the next generation knows somebody is in their corner. And that happened best on The Blocks.
Today, we got to keep doing that work.
To every volunteer, partner, donor, family and community member who showed up: thank you.
And to every young person heading back to school with us in your corner, we’re rooting for you. Don't forget to look at yourself in the mirror day one of this school years and say, "Man! Do I look GOOD today!" 💙
The legacy continues. And so does the work.
