This year Pensacola Delta Enrichment Center (PDAC) in collaboration with Pensacola Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc has teamed up with Truth for Youth (TFY) for our 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Box Giveaway Donation Drive! This is where we select several schools in the Pensacola area where we put together a Thanksgiving Box to give students to their families to cook for Thanksgiving Day. Each Box will have a Turkey with several boxed and canned sides.

Below are a list of donated items that are needed, *ALL ITEMS MUST BE NON-PERISHABLE*:
Canned Corn Instant Mashed Potatoes Cornbread Mix
Canned Collard Greens Bags of rice (1lb or 16 oz) Macaroni and Cheese (In box)
Canned Black-eyed Peas Chocolate Cake Frosting Yellow Cake Mix
Canned or Packaged Gravy

Please bring all non-perishable food to PDAC located at 601 W Belmont Street, Pensacola, Fl 32501 between 5:30pm to 7:30pm on Thursdays and Sundays.

Truth For Youth is honored to support and thank the City of Pensacola for this prestigious event celebrating a true pillar of our community!

The City of Pensacola invites everyone to attend the Rev. John H. Powell Honorary Street Naming Ceremony this Saturday. We remember and celebrate Rev. Powell—a champion dedicated to impacting the lives of our youth and uplifting Pensacola.

Event Details

When: Saturday, November 1st, at 12 p.m.

Where: The corner of West Belmont Street and North DeVillers Street (in front of Five Sisters Blues Café).

This event is for the community to come out and give 2 minute expressions on Rev. John Powell. This is not a Wake. Because of the time constraints with the funeral service, we wanted the community to be able to have a chance to talk about the Reverend. This will be on July 21st from 6pm to 8pm at the Brownsville Community Center.

We will be having two events, both will be at the same location (Brownsville Community Center). On July 21st from 6pm to 8pm there will be an open mic for people to give 2 min expressions. On July 22nd, visitation will be from 11am to 12pm and then the service will start at 12pm and end no later than 1:30pm.
