Fort Mott Park Association This page is for the Fort Mott Park Association, friend group to the state park, Fort Mott. Welcome to the page of the Fort Mott Park Association.

We are a group of individuals whose purpose is to preserve and promote the ethical and historical use of Fort Mott State Park. Our goal is to work with Fort Mott State Park and the community as a whole to achieve our goals. If you would like to contribute either physically, logistically, or financially, we would welcome your support. We are a 501(c)3 group.

Fort Mott Spring cleanup - Saturday April 18th 9am to 3pm
Join us this Saturday, and help us get the park ready for spring & summer events. Volunteers are needed to help clear over grown brush, cleanout gun batteries, and clean some other park grounds.
- Meet up 9am at Battery Gregg (near the main parking lot)
- Fort Mott Park Association will provide lunch for volunteers (cheese pizza, soda & water)
- Dress for outdoor work, the Park will provide supplies. We will post an update in the event of inclement weather.

Just a reminder next weekend April 11 & 12, is the Great War event at Fort Mott. See the park's page for updates.

Step back in time and learn about World War I at Fort Mott State Park’s Great War Weekend, April 11 & 12.

This free, family-friendly event, will feature immersive reenactments, as historians and living history groups portray life the people, stories and conflicts of what was once called “The War to End All Wars.”

Upcoming April events at Fort Mott State Park:

Sat. April 11th (10am to 4pm) & Sun. April 12th (10am to 4pm) Great War Event:
Fort Mott State Park will be hosting a World War I living history event, highlighting Allied and Axis forces during the “War to end all Wars”. Stop by the Fort to learn about World War I and conflicts; re-enactors will be on-site portraying different aspects of the war.
This is a free event, bring your friends and family!

Sat. April 18th (9am to 3pm) Spring Cleanup:
Join park staff to prepare the park for spring events. Volunteers are needed to help clean the playground and some of the park grounds. Fort Mott Park Association will provide lunch for volunteers.

Just a reminder - next Saturday January 24th:
- at 12:30pm Fort Mott Park Association will be having our annual meeting in the park Museum to elect FMPA officers for the year.
- at 1pm we will have a guest speaker, Pete Michel from Hancock House will join us to talk about the 1776 naval battle of Helms Cove (just north of Penns Grove). Local history!

Please join us on Saturday Jan 24th in the park Museum. Both the meeting and guest speaker is free & open to all; refreshments will be provided.

Upcoming events at Fort Mott State Park
Saturday January 24th - FMPA Annual Meeting & Guest Speaker
- at 12:30pm Fort Mott Park Association will be holding our annual meeting in the park Museum. We will be electing FMPA officers for the year. The meeting is open to all, please join us, we appreciate your input.
- at 1pm we will have a guest speaker. Pete Michel from Hancock House will join us to talk about the 1776 naval battle of Helms Cove (just north of Penns Grove). This is local history and relates to our country’s 250th celebration!
Join on Saturday Jan 24th at 12:30pm - we will be providing refreshments. The meeting (and guest speaker) is open to all and free.

Just a reminder, this Sat Dec 13th, 4 to 8pm, is Soldiers Christmas. Come to Fort Mott State Park to see history come alive with interpreters showing what it was like during the holiday season for soldiers, sailors, Marines, and airman. Make sure to stop by Post Headquarters (Bldg. 9) to sign a holiday greeting card for the residents at our local Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland, NJ. (Cards will be provided, no cost.) Fort Mott's Park Assoc. will be serving hot cocoa & popcorn in Bldg. 9, and selling tree ornaments as a fund raiser to support the park.

Be sure to wear warm clothing as this is an outside event! Parking will be in the main parking lot and on the Parade Ground field down Cemetery Road. This is a FREE event.

A local artist has hand painted Christmas tree ornaments and graciously donated them to Fort Mott Park Association to sell as a fund raiser. There are 28 ornaments total, with various scenes of Fort Mott including the Fire Tower, Tower & House, Finn’s Point, and Oozlefinch (the coastal artillery’s mascot.) Ornaments will be available at the Soldiers Christmas event for a donation of $20/each. We accept cash, check (payable to Fort Mott Park Assoc.) and Venmo.

The ornaments will be available during Soldiers Christmas event on Sat. Dec 13th 4-8pm
