We joined several Clubhouses in South Carolina and had an amazing day advocating and talking to our state legislators! We made several great connections and had meaningful conversations about the importance and impact a Clubhouse would bring to the Anderson Oconee Pickens area! Shout out to Blake Sanders for all his support in Columbia to make it happen. And thanks to board member Teri Cox Gilstrap and SC Clubhouse Director Casey Edmonds for organizing the day.

Thank you to the Community Foundation of Greenville for hosting a lunch for partners to hear about the important work that Clubhouse South Carolina is doing across the state to bring a Clubhouse to every community. The AOP Clubhouse looks forward to the ways we will continue to partner together.

We are so grateful for the American Medical Women’s Association student organization at Clemson for believing in our AOP Clubhouse project enough to choose us as the recipients of their 5K fundraising race! These ladies worked so hard to prepare for this event and we couldn’t be more happy for the success they had this morning at the event. Stay tuned for a final fundraising total in the next several days!

Last week, we hosted Congresswoman Sheri Biggs at the United Way of Anderson County office to share about the important work of the AOP Clubhouse and the impact it could have on those experiencing mental illness in Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties. We look forward to working with the Congresswoman on mental health initiatives in our community!

THANK YOU to Representative Blake Sanders for the shout out at the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce Toast and Topics, where members of the Anderson County Delegation discussed their legislative priorities. Representative Sanders challenged the audience to join him in being a part of funding and opening of the AOP Clubhouse initiative!
