It takes a community to build a community. đź’™
One of our favorite parts of serving the state of South Carolina is highlighting organizations that expand opportunities for people living with mental illness, and who are working to build inclusive communities.

Our visit to the Shepherd Hotel in downtown Clemson reminded us that inclusive employment changes lives. Through Delish Sisters, meaningful work isn't just offered; it's embraced, with individuals with disabilities contributing across the team, including in management. From team members to leadership, they're demonstrating the impact that inclusive workplaces can have by empowering individuals with disabilities to thrive, all while serving delicious meals!

Thank you for helping create communities where everyone belongs. It's places like Delish Sisters that help build a South Carolina where everyone has the opportunity to contribute, grow, and succeed. We hope to continue to grow and add to this community as well.

We joined several Clubhouses in South Carolina and had an amazing day advocating and talking to our state legislators! We made several great connections and had meaningful conversations about the importance and impact a Clubhouse would bring to the Anderson Oconee Pickens area! Shout out to Blake Sanders for all his support in Columbia to make it happen. And thanks to board member Teri Cox Gilstrap and SC Clubhouse Director Casey Edmonds for organizing the day.
