Every day, too many men struggle in silence with their mental health. The statistics are sobering, but they also remind us why conversations matter. Mental strength isn’t about hiding what you’re going through, it’s about having the courage to speak up, ask for help, and support those around you. Whether you're an athlete, coach, parent, teammate, or friend, your mental health matters.

This month, let’s challenge the stigma that tells men to “tough it out” and instead encourage honest conversations, connection, and support.

Be a man. Speak up.

If you or someone you know is struggling, reach out. Help is available, and no one has to face it alone. 💙

June is Men’s Health Month.

Mental health challenges can affect anyone. This month, we're highlighting influential men who have shared their personal experiences with mental health to help break the stigma surrounding these conversations.

Their stories remind us that strength isn't about struggling in silence, it's about having the courage to speak up, seek support, and prioritize your well-being. By sharing their journeys, these men are helping create a culture where asking for help is seen as a sign of resilience, not weakness.

At the U.S. Center for Mental Health & Sport, we believe that open conversations save lives. No matter who you are or where you are in your journey, you don't have to face it alone.

Over the last few days, the U.S. Center for Mental Health and Sport had the amazing
opportunity to present and network at the Texas High School Athletic Directors
Association State Conference in Round Rock, Texas.

We are so grateful to have helped start and continue the conversation within the
Texas athletic world about why talking about mental health in sport is so important.
We were able to continue expanding our network and working to bring optimum
mental health to ALL sports communities. Thank you for giving us this opportunity!

If you are in Texas and want to help us continue expanding our work in your state, please reach out. Our DM’s are always open.

What would sport look like if mental wellbeing was treated as part of athlete development, not as an afterthought?

Healthier sport culture is built through everyday moments:
coaches who check in, teammates who listen, environments where honesty is encouraged, and support systems that extend beyond performance alone.

Mental Health Awareness Month might end today, but the work we are doing here at the USC-MHS doesn’t.

Because the future of sport should be one where athletes can truly thrive… everyday.

Sport can build confidence, connection, resilience, and purpose, but athletes are still human beings navigating pressure, expectations, recovery, identity, and life outside of competition.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, USC-MHS remains committed to helping create sport environments where mental wellbeing is supported just as intentionally as physical wellbeing.

The future of sport includes honest conversations, supportive leadership, and cultures where athletes feel safe asking for help. Because mental health is part of the game, too.

Today we celebrate National Adaptive Sports Day 💙

Adaptive sports are more than competition, they are a powerful pathway to confidence, connection, and mental well-being. Every athlete deserves the opportunity to play, grow, and thrive, no matter their abilities.

At the U.S. Center for Mental Health and Sport, we recognize the resilience and strength of adaptive athletes who continue to break barriers and redefine what’s possible.

Let’s continue to create inclusive spaces where everyone belongs.

We are so thankful that we are helping start the conversation in the Clemson Athletic Department that talking about mental health in sports is important. By doing this Clemson Athletics have opened up a space in athletics to learn about mental health in sport.

Thank you Clemson University for giving us this opportunity! 💚🧡 If you think your school is interested in receiving the ACT! training please reach out.

Amidst the busyness of finals, remember that your mind deserves the same care as your goals. 💙
Take a break, breathe, and remember, your mental health comes first.

🧠✨ Wearing the Message. Living the Mission.

Every time you put on your USCMHS gear, you're doing more than just repping a logo — you're standing up for something bigger. You're reminding your community that mental health matters, that no one struggles alone, and that starting the conversation can save lives.

At the U.S. Center for Mental Health Services, we believe in the power of visibility. When you wear the message, you become part of a movement — one that breaks the silence, challenges stigma, and shows that caring for our mental well-being is just as important as our physical health. 💚

Take what you need today 💚

Whether it’s patience, rest, motivation, or simply a moment of peace—your mental health matters just as much as your performance. In sport and in life, giving yourself what you need isn’t a weakness, it’s a strength.

Tear off a reminder. Share one with a teammate. Keep one for yourself.
