Join us Friday, October 16 at 8:00 AM at First Baptist Church Peculiar as we take a look back at what the Peculiar Area Chamber of Commerce has accomplished this year and share a little of what is ahead.

This is more than just a regular Third Friday Coffee. It is a chance to celebrate our businesses, our community partnerships, and the people who continue to help Peculiar grow stronger.

🏀 Don’t miss out! Peculiar Parks & Recreation Youth Basketball registration is OPEN!

If you have a student in Kindergarten through 9th grade who loves basketball or wants to give it a try, now is the time to get signed up.

📅 Registration closes next Friday, October 23
🏀 Practices begin the first week of November
⛹️ Games begin December 5

Youth sports are such a great way for kids to stay active, build confidence, learn teamwork, and have fun with friends right here in our community.

Harvest Moon is just 10 days away!

Don’t miss the Kids Costume Parade kicking off at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 24! Dress up the kids, join the fun, and follow the parade down Broadway to the opening of the Haunted Highline Trail for treats, Halloween fun, and a full day at the Harvest Moon Festival.

Chamber member Under the Awning has two fun events coming up!
On Saturday, October 24, Under the Awning is hosting a Nora Fleming Paint Your Own Mini Event with sessions from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Create your own Nora Fleming mini and enjoy a fun, creative day out.

Then on Friday, November 6 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, they’re kicking off the holiday season with their Holiday Hoedown! 🎄🤠

Expect festive treats, event only discounts, new holiday arrivals, guest vendors, and plenty of Christmas fun.

Harvest Moon is bringing the fun from start to finish this year!

We’ve got a full day of stage entertainment, and one of the events we know people will be watching is the Churro Eating Contest at noon! Come cheer on the competitors, then stick around for live performances, the Bake Off, our Chamber Small Business Grant Presentation, and an evening of music with Ranahan and Full Metal Z.

Join us Saturday, October 24 from 10 AM to 7 PM in Downtown Peculiar as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Harvest Moon Festival.

Come hungry, come ready to cheer, and plan to spend the day with us. This is going to be a good one

Peculiar is in the running!

Our community has been nominated for Missouri Humanities’ 2027 Small Town Showcase, and now we need your help to get Peculiar into the top five!
If selected, Peculiar will be featured in a short film and podcast highlighting our town’s history, people, character, and community spirit.
