The Payson Community Garden, in Payson Arizona, is an interfaith program designed to provide education, individual gardens and resources to the community for growing their own organic produce and for donations to the local Food Banks.

Our tally board shows we have passed the 9,500 lb mark in our produce donations to the Presbyterian Church and St Vincent’s FoodBanks this year!! 9,541 lbs to be specific! 🍅🫑🌶️🥒🥬🌽🥕🧄🧅🥔🫜

It was the Payson Community Garden’s last harvest for the food banks here this morning and 206 lbs of produce was donated to the St Vincent’s food bank today!
This brings the total for the year to 9,541 lb of fresh organic produce donated to our community food banks!!
Way to go gardeners, volunteers and staff for this amazing amount of wonderful food harvested to help the less fortunate in our community. 🙏🙌🙌

‼️NEMATODE NIGHT, FINAL FOODBANK HARVEST AND NOVEMBER HOURS‼️

Hi Gardeners! A few important updates for you:

Nematode Night is this Thursday evening from approximately 4-6pm. If you have not yet signed up, please do so at the garden by 11am Thursday to participate. Everything does not need to be removed from your garden to do this. Please bring a 2 gallon sprinkling type water can if you have one. Additional information about Beneficial Nematodes and what to expect is attached.

If you have green tomatoes and do not want them, please harvest them for this coming Thursday’s harvest and leave them under the Ramada. Margaret will collect them each evening for the food bank. This will be the last official harvest of the season. Our season total so far is over 9,300 lbs donated to two of our local Payson FoodBanks. 🥳🤩🙌🙌🙌

Beginning November we will be open SATURDAYS ONLY, 10am-3pm.

It was the last Monday morning harvest today for the season. Only one more now upcoming this Thursday.
Today’s harvest for the Presbyterian Church Foodbank yielded 177 lbs of organic produce that included pumpkins, butternut squash, squash of various kinds, tomatoes, a lot of peppers!🌶️ 🫑as well as some lettuce and herbs.

Thanks again to all our amazing staff and volunteers who collect wash weigh and pack them all! 🙏 And of course to our wonderful gardeners who grow it all. 🥳🤩

This brings our season’s total how to 9,335 lbs donated to our two local food banks! Great job everyone. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
