Patterson residents urged to attend Memorial Day Ceremony
PI Staff
Patterson residents are preparing to gather at Patterson Cemetery, located on CA 33, for the community’s annual Memorial Day celebration on Monday, May 25, 2026. The event, organized each year by local veterans groups, is expected to draw families, civic leaders and service members honoring those who died in military service.
The ceremony will begin at 10:00 am and feature remarks from veterans and other civic leaders. Community organizations, including local Scouts and service clubs, typically assist by placing flags at veterans’ graves throughout the grounds. The service clubs will also provide various tributes to America’s heroes throughout the ceremony.
Organizers say the gathering offers residents an opportunity to reflect on sacrifice while strengthening community ties. Patterson Cemetery, which serves as the city’s primary burial ground, provides a quiet setting for the annual tribute. The event is open to the public, and residents are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for parking and seating.
Local officials say the ceremony remains one of Patterson’s most meaningful traditions, uniting the community in remembrance.
