Today we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free.

At Hineni Global Missions, we are grateful for those who laid down their lives so others could live in liberty. As we remember the fallen this Memorial Day, we also pray for the families who carry both the pride and pain of their sacrifice every day.

May we never take for granted the freedoms we’ve been given, and may we live with gratitude, honor, and purpose.

Just as this mill depended on a continual flow of water to produce something useful, our lives must remain connected to the flow of the Holy Spirit. The process may involve pressure and grinding, but God uses it to produce nourishment, strength, and purpose for others.

As people we want to enjoy life. Here’s a clear way for us to do just that. Easier said than done at times, but thankful God is still working on me. In order to turn away from evil, we have to turn toward doing good. When we find peace after searching, we must work to keep it. The most important part to me is “the eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers”! He knows and He cares. His ears are open our prayers. He is ready and willing to hear us as we reject paying evil for evil, and choose good instead. The Lord turns his face against evil which tells me He turns it towards us when we choose good.

“For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.”
