Ever wonder how young people become involved in exhibiting at the Jackson County Fair?

For many, it all begins with 4-H.

From livestock and photography to cooking, crafts, horticulture, and other project areas, 4-H gives young people the opportunity to learn new skills, develop confidence, and showcase their hard work at the Jackson County Fair. Along the way, they build friendships, leadership skills, and memories that last a lifetime.

If your child has ever wanted to exhibit a project, compete, or simply learn more about what 4-H has to offer, the Jackson County 4-H Open House is the perfect place to start. Meet local club leaders, explore the many project areas available, and discover how your family can become part of one of Jackson County’s most rewarding youth programs.

The journey to the fair—and so much more—starts with 4-H. 🍀

🎨🇺🇸 Congratulations to Our 2026 Jackson County Blue Ribbon Fair Book Cover Winners! 🇺🇸🎨

For the past two years, the Jackson County Fair Board and Fair Association invite talented student artists from schools across our county to participate in the annual Jackson County Blue Ribbon Fair Book Cover Contest. Students are challenged to create original artwork that captures the spirit of the BLUE RIBBON FAIR.

Following this year's contest, we're proud to congratulate our outstanding winners!

🥇 First Place
Lillian Cumbest of Resurrection High School
Lillian's winning design will be featured on the front cover of the 2026 Jackson County Blue Ribbon Fair Book.

🥈 Second Place
Bella Cannon of Resurrection High School
Bella's beautiful artwork will be showcased on the back cover of this year's Fair Book.

This year's fair proudly celebrates America's 250th Anniversary with our Red, White & Blue Ribbon theme, honoring both our nation's historic milestone and one of America's most cherished traditions……..the county fair. Lillian and Bella beautifully captured that patriotic spirit through their artwork, creating designs that celebrate community, heritage, and the excitement of the Jackson County Blue Ribbon Fair.

Congratulations again to Lillian and Bella on this well-deserved recognition! We thank every student who participated and shared their creativity with us. Your talent helps tell the story of our fair, and we can't wait for everyone to see this year's Fair Book when it is released.

Celebrating Creativity
at the Jackson County Fair!

Our local schools filled the Civic Center with imagination, color, and school pride! Each booth reflected thoughtful themes and creative expression, showcasing the hard work of students, teachers, and staff who made their displays come to life.

The children’s artwork was simply outstanding, a wonderful reminder of the talent and promise within our local schools.

Congratulations to all who participated and helped make this year’s fair an inspiring celebration of learning and creativity!

Jackson County is truly home to an abundance of talented artists and craftsmen that spans a variety of mediums, styles and voices, and this year’s Arts Exhibition proved just that! From breathtaking paintings and creative photography to intricate crafts and fine handiwork, our community showcased an incredible range of expertise, mastery and imagination.

✨ Congratulations to all of our 2025 winners in both the Adult and Youth Divisions! ✨

Your creativity and dedication made this year’s exhibition great! We are so proud of each participant who shared their time, talent, and passion with us.

Friday night, October 24th, the Jackson County Blue Ribbon Fairgrounds came alive with the sound of pure talent as SIX INCREDIBLE BANDS took the BLUE RIBBON STAGE for our very first Songs of the South Battle of the Bands!

The night was electric from the very first note filled with anticipation, excitement, and the thrill of original music echoing across the fairgrounds. Families, fans, friends and fairgoers gathered under the lights in a truly unforgettable atmosphere, cheering for their favorites and discovering new local talent destined for greatness.

🎸 The air was alive with energy, creativity, and community spirit and when the final chord struck, the applause said it all: JACKSON COUNTY knows how to rock!

The Jackson County Blue Ribbon Fair will open today at 1 p.m., weather permitting! 🌤️

It’s our understanding that the rain and rough weather should be moved out of our area by then, and we expect to be going strong!

Let’s close out this incredible fair week on a high note with laughter, lights, and one last spin on the midway!

Today marks the final day of the Jackson County Blue Ribbon Fair, so don’t miss your chance to make a few more memories before the gates close.
