Even though Moms of the Ridge isn’t hosting our own Harvest Festival this year, we’re joining forces with the Burkett Plaza Harvest Festival to keep one of our favorite traditions going. 🎃🧡

We’ll be sponsoring a FREE pumpkin patch with 300 pumpkins for local families!

Pumpkins are first come, first served, so come early and grab yours while supplies last.

We’re so happy to still bring a little fall fun to our Ridge families this year. 🍂🎃

A little update from MOTR 🩷

After a lot of thought, we’ve decided NOT to hold our Harvest Festival this year.

The truth is, our little team has poured so much into this community over the years, and this year has simply been a lot. Between work, families, life changes, and everything in between, we’re feeling a little burned out and know we need to give ourselves permission to rest instead of forcing another big event.

The good news is there are still some wonderful fall events happening on the Ridge! The Magalia Fall Festival will be happening in Magalia, and Burkettes Halloween festivities are another great way to celebrate locally.
And don’t worry, our MOTR pumpkin patch WILL be back out this year at the Burkette event on October 24th. 🎃🧡

We are so grateful for everyone who has supported our Harvest Festival over the years. It has always been a labor of love, and hopefully after a little time to recharge, we’ll be rested and ready to bring it back next year.

For the month of September, our team is taking a much-needed break from our main group, Moms of the Ridge.

After a very busy season, all of us are feeling a little burned out and ready for some time to step away, recharge, focus on our families, and give ourselves a breather.

The group will still be available to view and use as a resource, but new posts and comments will be paused during September.

We’ll be back October 1st!

Thank you for understanding and for giving our team the space to rest and reset.

One of our local police officers was injured last night in a DUI-related accident, and a Meal Train has been organized to help support the officer and their family during recovery.

FREE BACK-TO-SCHOOL HAIRCUTS! ✂️
This back-to-school season, we’re partnering with two incredible local businesses
Paradise Hair Co. & DYE Hair Salon—to provide 100 FREE children’s haircuts for families who could use a little extra support.

How it works:
✂️ Families will complete a short online application here: https://www.momsoftheridge.org/about-5-1
✂️ Approved applicants will receive a haircut voucher.
✂️ Families will schedule directly with their assigned salon.

✨ A few important details:
* Haircut vouchers will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
* We expect all 100 spots to fill quickly, so don’t wait to apply!
* Approved vouchers must be used by September 1 (or your final date) to ensure every available haircut benefits a local child.

Our goal is simple: remove one more financial burden from back-to-school season and make sure more Ridge kids feel ready for a fresh start.

New to the Ridge? Looking to meet people?

One of our favorite Paradise traditions is almost here: Party in the Park! (Kid friendly!)

Every Wednesday evening from June 10 through July 29, Paradise Community Park comes alive with live music, food vendors, local organizations, artisans, farmers market vendors, activities, and lots of familiar faces.

It’s a fun, relaxed way to get out of the house and experience the community. ⁠

If you’re new to the ridge , I highly encourage you to go. Bring a lawn chair, grab some dinner, let the kids play, and introduce yourself to a few people. Many friendships on the Ridge have started with a simple conversation at a community event.

One of the best things about living here is how connected our community is, and Party in the Park is a great place to see that firsthand.
