Drink Busch Light for a good cause!
Busch light and John Deere are teaming up to help support the Farm Rescue fund which helps provide assistance to American farmers in need.
We were inspired by this and decided to donate an extra $1.00 for every case of Busch Light/John Deere to the Four County Fire Relief Fund to provide MORE assistance to OUR customers, our Kansas farmers. Pestinger Distributing and Carrico Implement will be donating an extra $40k to the Four County Fire Relief Fund.

During these wild fires nearly 165,000 acres in North Central Kansas in Ellis, Osborne, Rooks, Russell, and Trego Counties were decimated. Along with the land, over 1000 livestock were killed and thousands more displaced with the destroyed land, 42 homes/structures were lost and over 5,000 miles of fence was lost.

Local Communities and Farmers are great at helping each other out through disasters and we ask that you be a part of that process by buying our limited release Busch Light/John Deere package.

If you would like to personally donate to this fund you can make a tax deductible contribution for the rebuilding efforts at

The tax bill that included the relief of sales tax on fencing passed a few weeks ago and has been signed by Governor Kelly.
Elaine Bowers called with the news and she thinks it goes in effect on July 1st.
Please keep your receipts and you can apply for the sales tax back after it becomes law.

This image taken around 4 PM was able to pick up the burn scar from the Furnas/Gosper county fire and can still see the scar from the "Four County" fire in December. It lets you appreciate the scope of the fires our first responders face!

What do you think the colder yellow green spots are on the image (excluding the mountains)? For instance, due west of McCook.

Deadline Approaching in Kansas for SBA Disaster Loans for Property Damage Due to Severe Storms and Straight-line Winds

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Director Tanya N. Garfield of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Disaster Field Operations Center-West today reminded Kansas private nonprofit organizations of the April 18, 2022, deadline to apply for an SBA federal disaster loan for property damage caused by severe storms and straight-line winds that occurred Dec. 15, 2021. Private nonprofits that provide essential services of a governmental nature are eligible for assistance.

According to Garfield, eligible private nonprofits of any size may apply for SBA federal disaster loans of up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory and other business assets. SBA can also lend additional funds to help with the cost of making improvements that protect, prevent or minimize the same type of disaster damage from occurring in the future.

In addition, SBA offers Economic Injury Disaster Loans to help eligible private nonprofits meet working capital needs caused by the disaster. Economic Injury Disaster Loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other bills that cannot be paid because of the disaster’s impact. Economic injury assistance is available regardless of whether the private nonprofit suffered any property damage. Private nonprofits have until Nov. 17, 2022, to apply for an SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan.

These low-interest federal disaster loans are available in Barton, Brown, Clay, Cloud, Doniphan, Edwards, Ellis, Ellsworth, Ford, Geary, Gove, Graham, Grant, Gray, Greeley, Hamilton, Haskell, Hodgeman, Jewell, Kearny, Lane, Lincoln, Logan, Marshall, Meade, Mitchell, Morris, Morton, Nemaha, Ness, Osborne, Ottawa, Pawnee, Republic, Rice, Riley, Rooks, Rush, Russell, Saline, Scott, Sheridan, Smith, Stafford, Stanton, Stevens, Sumner, Trego, Wabaunsee, Wallace, Washington, Wichita and Wyandotte counties.

The interest rate is 1.875 percent with terms up to 30 years. Loan amounts and terms are set by SBA and based on each applicant’s financial condition.

Applicants may apply online, receive additional disaster assistance information and download applications at https://disasterloanassistance.sba.gov/. Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email [email protected] for more information on SBA disaster assistance. For people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, please dial 7-1-1 to access telecommunications relay services. Completed applications should be mailed to U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.
