Laura was there from the very beginning.
I remember our first LifeWise PG Community meeting back in 2019 at our church. Of course, Laura showed up....ready, as always, to help, serve, and support others...including me and my hairbrained idea about Release-Time for our students. She never doubted or hesitated. Instead, she simply said sheād be happy to help however she could.
And she meant it.
Laura stepped into one of our volunteer driver roles, faithfully serving our LifeWise students. And she was busy...a devoted mom, a faithful wife, a committed friend, an active member of our church, a business owner running her own physical therapy practice⦠all while bravely battling cancer. Yet somehow, she always found a way to serve others and honor her Lord and Savior.
Laura loved her LifeWise kids...and they loved her. She brought joy, laughter, and warmth everywhere she went.
She drove for a few years, even as the toll on her body grew heavier. I remember how she would brush off the pain in her hands and feet. And when the day finally came that she told me she couldnāt drive anymore, she looked at me as if she were letting us down.
Laura, you never let us down!!
I remember the tears in both our eyes as I hugged her and reminded her how deeply she was loved and valued. No one could replace her...but we would carry on because of her.
LifeWise PG wants to honor and thank Laura Huffman. Words will never feel like enough, but her life speaks louder than any words ever could. Because of her faithfulness, more children have heard the Gospel...and lives have been changed for eternity.
I can only imagine the day when those LifeWise students step into heaven and say, āThank you, Ms. Laura, for introducing me to Jesus.ā ā¤ļø - Sandy Steiner
