Public Safety Announcement: Slow Down & Move Over
Last night, one of our fire engines was struck by a semi on I‑75 while crews were operating at an emergency scene. Thankfully, no firefighters were injured — but this incident is a serious reminder of how dangerous highway responses can be.
When you see emergency lights:
• Slow Down
• Move Over into the next lane if possible
• Give responders space to work safely
These steps aren’t just courteous — they are Ohio law and they save lives. Every day, firefighters, medics, police officers, tow operators, and highway workers stand just feet away from fast‑moving traffic while helping others.
Your cooperation helps ensure we all make it home safely.

We have a few spots left open for our Annual BTGFD 300 Club. Spots are $50 per spot for a 1 year membership which starts next week on May 6th, 2026 lasting until April 27th, 2027.

Membership consists of the following:

Weekly payout of $50 to a random member.

An invitation to a “Members Only” 300 Club Large Ticket Drawing (February 2027) which includes:
- Food, Drinks, Door Prizes, Raffles, etc.
- Chance at taking home $2,500, $1,250, $750, $250 as well as (2) $100 attendance drawings during the night of the event. We also will have a $200 early bird winner for returning the invites with their membership payment before the festivities begin.

If you would like to join in on the fun or if you are interested in purchasing another spot or perhaps your unsure if you are a current menmber or not, feel free to reach out to us directly or to any BTGFD Member.
