At 13:48, Pamplin Fire was toned for a smoke investigation on Silo Rd. in Pamplin.

Two of our members arrived on scene within three minutes and found a tractor attached to a fully involved baler. They worked quickly to disconnect the tractor and move it away from the burning baler, saving the tractor with only minimal damage before our trucks arrived on scene.

Unfortunately, the baler was a total loss.

Apparatus on scene: Engine 33 and Tanker 36.

This is so beneficial for our Pamplin community who reside in Prince Edward County! ❤️

Residents in western Prince Edward County now have faster access to emergency medical care thanks to a partnership that places an ambulance closer to the communities it serves during daytime hours. Effective July 1, 2026, the Prince Edward Volunteer Rescue Squad began stationing an ambulance at the Prospect Volunteer Fire Department, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who came out and supported Pamplin Fire at the 1st Pamplin Car, Truck, and Bike Show!! A huge thank you to Alexis Keen and Doug Franklin for all of your hardwork in organizing and hosting this event for our department. We would also like to thank the Pamplin Ruritans for the use of the ballfield, the Concord Volunteer Fire Department for the use of their cone trailer, the owners of all the rides, and the community for your support.
